A Recap of Most Beautiful Days of Life

Overall my college is very good with respect to course and faculty and labs and sports. But there is a caste feeling in my college which makes it little backward compared to other colleges. If they can overcome the caste feeling and make students feel that all are equal, it will be the best college in the state and one of best in Country as well.

Admission to my college was through "Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test" conducted by State Government

The course curriculum was good. Electives were more related to our specialization. I chose Electronics and communications as my specialization in graduation.

Unfortunately, there was no internship offered in our college. Our college is well known for the GATE ranks, We used to have atleast one rank in top 10 every year from all streams.

We had good placements. Tata Consultancy Services was one of the major recruiter from our college. We have a placement officer who invites the companies for placements.

There is an annual tech fest named BECTAGON celebrated in our college. We will participation from almost all the colleges in state to this event. There will be workshops, presentations, cultural events as part of this fest. Apart from this, we have a annual magazine launch at every branch level. We include the latest technological inventions and advancements in the magazine.

Our college is a part of a educational society intended to provide good quality education at a feasible fee to everyone. Hence the fee weren't too expensive. They were liberal.

There were no scholarship/loan facility offers by our college. If required we can take a loan from bank only. But college didn't offer anything.

Our campus life used to be simple and interesting. We have a mixture of studious people and athletes and intellectuals. We used to have good debates on current affairs. We have very good facilities for sports.

We didn't had hostel in our college. We used to rent a house and stay outside college. But the mess food was tasty and served to us with a subsidy with the intention of not to burden the students much. So our college used to bear most of the mess expense.

Our college doesn't have proper agenda for Alumni. They don't organize any alumni meets or try to get together with the Alumni. Our Seniors used to be very good. They used to guide us in every aspect. Their suggestions were very valuable.

We have University board exam for every semester and an internal exam in our college. The University exams weigh 70% and the internals weigh 30% of the total marks. It wasn't too hectic in our college. We used have college from 7:30AM to 1PM. So it was like only a half day college. We used to enjoy a lot during our college. In the noon, we used to either hang out or prepare for exams and entrances.

Faculty of our college was awesome. They are well experienced with good teaching skills. The standards were maintained at the top all the time. Our college is one of the best colleges in state and well known for the faculty and standards.
