A typical private college

College management sucks at every decision, even during the corona outbreak they tried really hard to convince that our college is safe, which resulted 200 people including teachers also, and now the govt want yo make a quarantine centre at our premises, it was really management's fault they let us go when it was impossible to get a confirm ticket to home, i did a joyearney of 24 hrs in general cimoartment from jaipur to asansol, and there are many more stories i could write books about

The learning i experienced in my 3 years, its not even upto the mark, i learn from youtube and the materials i have online, though some subjects were taught nicely, still wasn't that much good, talking about on-campus placements, yes they arrange job for everyone

If we talk about placement, in the college recoeds it always exceeds 100%, like 1 student get multiple job, but a large number of final year students leave those jobs as they dont pay timely, or the work experience is really bad, but our institue tries to manage jobs, now it's kne students that they cannot accuire a decent job, so for that purpose i might not blame college because they try atleast, and they take multiple pre-placement trainings to govern students, as i said earlier, they try fairly, but the teachers teaches properly from the very first class they the scenario might as well be diffrerent

College harasses students in this field, tgey want all things to be done but they woukd give a budget thay would hardly cover expenses, so we have to give up all our plans for exciting event, i intend to part of these events, last autumn we had freshers' part and a 3 day long culutural event and the joint budget was 60k, and even that budget, they were noy giving at once, in previous years nany students beared exoenses from their own as the college promised to pay later, and guess what, that never happend, so our college sucks at it, The nymber of partuciapnts are decent, and we have 3-4 events per semester

The fee structure is decent 35000 for hostel fee and 40000 for academics We had to pay extraa 5000 for security purpose while admission,the other information, i dont really know, we pay our fees via college erp, but of a student is unable to pay at time he has to bear a fine, i find this cruel

Yes college give a scholarship of 10k-40k based on the boards result it ranges from 85% But its one time only and there is no options of availing scholarshio by the results from university

Campus life is good but could have been be better if thee teachers doesnt stuck their nose in every thing. We have a robotics lab, they do decent work but although i am not really interested in making toys, we lack a commong room, we are not allowed to have a union, guess what, they fear our unity, so they at their most keeps on trying to break it, no political practices occur here, the gender ratio is 15 men and 1 women, and the ladies' hostel is well isolated, but the teachers behaves really bad with students if things occur, like we are their pawns or something,ust have been lacked in humanitu or been raised like these

I am a hosteller and if i have yo review hostels, then i would say our hostel facility is oretty good, we have spacious rooms, separate bathrooms, no cctv included, thats a relief, then rent is 35000 which covers foodings lodging, electricity bills

Seniors are quite helpful, and ragging is prohibited by any means its surely a good thing, without our seniors, college wouldnt be so much fun

I chose this institution because the fees were bearable and due to hus poupality with it's cousin college IEM kolkata's popularity, I got admitted there by my WBJEE rank and the criteria was said to be minimum 70% in the boards exam, though i doubt this criteria, anyone with momey can pursue

There are large number of lecturers,to be honest i dont even know the number, now talkinga about their qualification,they are faotly qualified but if the fact "providing clarity about the subject" is scrutinized then i'd say a larger section of them are failed to do so, i remember ho we were taught TOA, we didnt understand at all, yet we managed to pass somehow,but some of our teachers like dipta sir, he does an excellent job in teaching, teaches student like a friend
