Nice and small college!

The campus is not too big. Although it has everything a college campus should have. But area wise it is a little less.how ever it maintained very well. With trees and flowers everywhere. There is no internships cell in the college and that is very bad.

The course curriculum is very great. For computer science, every year the course is updated and the popular technologies are added. Unlike most other colleges where course curriculum is so old that students loose their interest. Here at JIIT that is not the case. Examination structure for each semester- It consists of 3 theory exams (called T1,T2,T3) and 2 practical lab tests. T1 and T2 are of 20 marks each and T3 is of 35 marks the rest marks is for attendance and class response as well as home assignments.

Placements are decent in the college in the past records the college has provided more than 100% placements. With maximum annual packages nearing 40 lakhs.However the college doesn't provide internships and that is very sad. Students have to use their own contacts or any other means to get internships.

A bunch of events takes place in our college.The biggest annual event called Impressions is for two days. It is a techno-cultural fest which consists of lots of competitions and then the edm night and guest artist performance.Then there are smaller events which keep happening throughout the year like the literary fest called Joust. And then there is Vidyut organised by electronics society.

Fee structure i would is on the feasible side, comparing to most private colleges.As of now the tution fee is around 80,000 per semester and there is an additional fee for development which is 30,000 per semester and if you stay in hostel(including mess, laundry,gym,swimming pool)then it costs 55,000 per sem. So it sumps upto 3.4 lakhs for two sems including hostel.

I am not aware of any scholarship facilities. But there is educational loan available in the college with a nominal interest rate. Students can avail it on the councelling day or even later. I don't know much about that either.

Extracurricular activities are great here, there are 22 hubs in the college and almost all of them are very active including 3 dance hubs with different dance forms, one musical hub called crecendo and tons of technical hubs for geeks. There is a robotics hub as well which arranges workshops every year to build bots from scratch. Sports facilities are above average. The college organises a fun sports meet every year. Labs are very nice equipped with great infrastructure.

Hostel is i would say fine. All the rooms are similar ac rooms. With centralised air conditioning. Every room is two seater. The hostels provide every other facilities like doctor, gym, there are bunch of indoor games as well like pool table, table tennis, there is an indoor squash room as well. Then there are the basketball and badminton courts in the campus as well. Mess food is above average. The menus is updated every week.

The one thing that makes your college life great is the seniors. Here the seniors are very very helpful. We can approch any one anytime and the never say no for helping out be it anything. Alumni network of the college is great. During the induction programs many alumni are invited to gove speach as well.

The admission in the college is through JEE mains exam, there are 4 streams in the college for btech degree cse, ece, it and biotech there is an option to get into biotech through 12th marks as well. But for other streams only JEE rank is the criteria. I am a cse student, the genral cutoff for cse each year is around rank 57000, with some variations. The admission process involves application for councelling and then and then appearing in person in the college on the alloted slot for reserving a seat in the college if eligible.

The faculty of the college is above average. I would say some teachers are very very great and some on the other hand don't deserve to be here. So it is mixed. However this is the condition of most of the colleges. And the fact is that the real thing is about the crowd, even if there are very good teachers but the crowd is not that great then it doesn't matter how good the teachers are. And that is what is good about this college the crowd is great!
