Horrible college days

The college management sucks. I would not recommend this college to anyone. I suffered a lot in 4 years. I would not want anyone to spoil their college life by joining this institute.

I had planned to do MBBS when I was in 10th grade. By the time I was in 12th grade, I planned to do BDS. After I attended CET, I changed my plan and I got interest in construction. So I wanted to choose either architecture or civil. Finally I chose civil. I was forced to join this college and I got scholarship too. So I had no other option.

We had eight semesters in total. That is, two semesters in every year. It is a 4 year course. There were theory and lab exams. There was surveying in two semesters. There was survey camp in fifth semester during vacation. It was fun and memorable.

I have no college internship experience. I had no interest. I never attended any interviews. Most of the companies were computer and electrical engineering based. Only one or two were based on construction.

BIT Utsav: It was the college day conducted every year. Continuum: It was a technical fest conducted by the civil department and it was civil based.Mechatics: It was a fest conducted by the mechanical department.

For me, it was feasible. I got 50% scholarship in the first semester. I got seat through entrance exam. The fees was in between 35, 000-40, 000 per year.

I joined here because of scholarship. The college conducts a talent hunt test. Out of all participated students, 10 are given free education. I got 50% scholarship in the first semester.

Campus life was fun being with friends. Otherwise it sucks. I attended college day only twice in these 4 years. First college day was the best according to me. Later on, it was like technical stuffs only which sucked. I never attended any functions after second year.

I used to do ups and downs. I travelled to college from home. I never stayed in hostel or PG. I was not comfortable in staying anywhere else. I used to travel by college bus.

When I joined college I was scared about mingling with seniors. After I get to know them, time had already passed so soon. But still had lots of fun and memorable times with them. Missing them a lot.

It was not hectic. I got lots of study holidays before exams. And there were few days study gap between every exams.

Most of the college faculty were not good. They did not know how to get along with students. There were fights between faculty and students most of the time. Only few lecturers were too good. And they left the college as they got good jobs somewhere else.
