Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good. It was from the West Bengal University of Technology. The syllabus included very important subjects like Data Structures, JAVA, Numerical analysis etc.
Internships Opportunities
I made my internship in a company naming Dos Software. It was a GIS (Geographical Information System) Company where I learnt the use of GIS softwares. But I was given no stipend.
Placement Experience
Usually MNCs like TCS, CTS, Accenture, Wipro etc visit our campus. But at my pass out year only TCS as MNC visited with a 3.4 LPA package and recruited only one candidate. Other than TCS some more companies like Odessey also visited,but the recruitment percentage was very low.
College Events
The college used to organize a TECH Fest and Cultural Fest every year. I used to participate in events like Debate, Project, Gaming, Quiz etc. At 1st year I was the winner of NFS gaming. 2nd year I won nothing. 3rd year I was Winner of Project which I did on GIS, as well runner up of NFS event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our full package was Rs 3.25 lakhs. this consists each semesters(6 sems precisely) fees as Rs 50,000, and other expenses. From my part I believe that the fee structure is slightly on the expensive side.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't require any loan facility as I personally took an education loan from my desired bank. No scholarship was provided either.
Campus Life
Campus life was good. We used to read as well as play, chitchat, roam around the college campus. Coming back home from college was fun. But as our college was little outside of the town we had a problem in transportation.
Alumni/Alumna
Our seniors were good and helpful. They did not make any rash ragging practice. They communicated politely and also helped in studies. I still have contact with them.
Exam Structure
We used to have 6 month seminar structure, where at the end we had to give the final exam. Apart from that, in each seminar we had to give 2 Internal exams. Also we used to give small mock tests provided by our teachers.
Faculty
Faculty was really good. They tried their best to make us understand what we needed to understand. They also arranged different mock tests to test our skills.
