Vishal Saxena's Review On Bhabha Institute Of Technology - [BIT], Kanpur

Bad: college is at a remote location called kanpur dehat which is around 60-70 kms from the main city. Good: Only good point was the friends which I made there for lifetime. It has been more than four years that I have passed the college but today also I live with the same friends with which I stayed in hostel .

I gave UPSEE entrance exam and thereafter in the conselling I chose this college. I mainly chose this college due to its chairman Mr. Mahesh Singh Chauhan.

I did my engineering in Information Technology stream from Bhabha institute of technology . The first year had common subjects for all the branches. After our first year, we got the subjects based on our branches we chose. As I was the part of information technology branch, so my subjects were mainly related to computer science and various technologies.

We did our internship of our own and the college didn't had any role in that. Whatever sources we had, we managed to do our internships there itself. But from college side, there was zero contribution in this.

From placement point of view also, I'll give a big zero to my college . 95% of the companies which came to college were fake. And I guess only 2 companies were genuine which offered the salary around 7k per month.

We use to have a 3 days fest named Phoenix which was really fantastic . It consists of technical and cultural both. On the last day, we use to have a star night in which some celebrities come and perform.

Fee structure is also as per the university rules. It was around 65k per year . All the colleges which was under UPTU(Uttar Pradesh technical university ) had almost the same fee structure.

No. Even I was among the top students of the college, then too I was not given any scholarship.Loan facilities were provided by various banks, not from college.

For extracurricular activities we had the sports committee and all. There were several sports which the students use to play like cricket, football, volleyball and basketball.Labs were also there but just for name.

College hostel was in college campus only and it was just ok type. Mess was also in college campus which serves the worst food. The only good thing is that it has the cafeteria which is opened 24 hours where you can have late night tea and Maggie.

I was from the foundation batch of the college, so I was the senior most student . But till now there is no common platform where the alumnus is connected.

Exams and all were as per the standards of the Uttar Pradesh technical university . We use to have 3 sessional exams before every main semester exams.

In our first year of engineerin, we really had a great faculty but after that year, almost all the faculty members except a few were recently college pass outs. So, we did not relied on our faculty for our syllabus and all and usually study of our own.
