A good state government Engineering college

It's a very nice college, AICTE approved, NAAC A credited. TEQIP- 2 grant.

JEE MAINS is a national level Engineering entrance exam conducted for admission into NITs, IIITs and state Engineering colleges. My institute is not so research driven. Here professors are having strong educational background. In a semester, there are 2 mid semester exams and end sem exams take place. Apart from this laboratory exams practical also are there.

Placement is average here. Mostly CS/IT companies visit the campus like Wipro, Accenture,IBM, TCS and cape gemini. Some core companies also visit campus like Tata projects, L & T, Deloitte, Honeywell, Crompton Grieves, Schneider electric. No internship companies visit the campus. Institute organises special classes for placement preparation.

Every year foundation day is celebrated with star night. At my time, meet bros were invited and previous day, lunch party was organised and we all were invited. Apart from this various technical events take place from time to time. Cultural programs also organised by institute every year in December.

At my time fees was nominal, but nowdays fees have been increased a lot. At my time in 2014 fees for 1st year was 42k and then 38k, 39k and 40k respectively for further years. But now onwards, fees for 1st year is 80k. Although it is feasible, not so expensive. College infrastructure also have been developed. Fees increase has been justified.

I didn't opt for any scholarship or loan. But there were some students who opted for it. Loan is bank dependent. And scholarship is provided to mostly SC/ST students.

Campus is very green and clean. Cafeteria, restaurants, bank, atm, amul parlor, photocopy shop, stationary are there in the campus. Gender ratio in my batch is like 1:3 for girls: boys. Laboratories are very good and well equipped here. In sports, volleyball court, basketball court, badminton court, cricket ground, football and table tennis are available in the campus.

Although i didn't opt for hostel as I am a local resident. But as far as I have seen hostels then I must say that hostels are newly built, are very clean and well maintained. Food is so nice. Tv room and gym is there in hostel itself. Fresh water is supplied 24/7. Rooms are spacious and study room is attached with room. Bathrooms are very clean.

Senior students are really helpful in providing guidance and notes for upcoming semesters. Every year alumni meet takes place and industrial conclave where all alumni participate.

I got admission on the basis of JEE MAINS score through state level counseling. I am interested in electrical so I opted electrical engineering. I got this college through second round of counselling. This is one of the best state Engineering college.

Hierarchy is lecutrer - assistant professor- associate professor- professor. Associate professor and professors are having very strong educational background. All are having phD degree. Some the them are IIT alumni. Some associate professors have industrial experiences of PSUs
