All of these features makes Nit Jamshedpur one of the best NIT in terms of accommodation at least in east India. When it comes to *food* you will find hardly any reasons to complain for may it be vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. They provide* 4 times food a day *which is *sufficiently satisfying*. For south-Indians too the menu will not be bad.

The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering was amongst the four branches with which the institute was initially launched in 1960, with increasing focus on : Materials Technology, Foundry Technology, Iron & Steel, Nanotechnology, Mineral Benefaction and the R&D work being carried out in these fields in the metallurgical sector, Materials Engineering was included in the curriculum of the department in 1995.There are M.Tech course on Materials Technology & Foundry Technology.

In my institute campus placement is near about 98 percent. Due to Tata Steel and vedanta group internships and placements are so good.

No I am not got any scholarships. No I didn't take any educational loan from any bank. So I can't tell anything about education loan or student scholarships.

There are many answers here. But my answers will be concentrated on newly constructed *Mega hostel K, where I spent my 1 year *or *2 semesters *to be precise. I started my hostel life in this prestigious institution in 2016 august. I will not be too long with my answer. * The security is very tight at Hostels of NIT Jamshedpur.There are two guard(retired army personnels) guarding 24/7. * We got* single room per student *and each room is just great. * *Each room* is quipped with a cupboard and *separate balcony.* * There are* 6 floors* in mega hostel. Each floor has* 6 blocks* and each block has *18 rooms.* * For each block there is sufficient no of toilets and bathrooms equipped with 2 geysers. You'll also find a water purifier for each and every block,so fetching water is quite easy * There is a *large common hall every 2 floor* for serving different purposes. * For convenience of students there are* four lifts* in the hostel. * There is an *open area* in front of the hostel for students to relax. * The surrounding of hostel is open and clean. * There is also an* OPEN AIR THEATER* in backyards of both hostels.

The Alumni Meet-2020 is being organized in the Institute campus on 25-26 January, 2020. Industry and Alumni Relations Centre is established to develop the Relations, MoUs, Collaborate Research, Internship, Fellowship, Continuing Education Programmes, Endowment fund with Industry and Alumni. A Committee consisting of following faculty members is constituted to achieve the aim and objective of the Industry and Alumni Relations Centre.

JEE main entrance exam is organised by Central board of secondary education new delhi India.
