No they are harsh when they find you spoiling your self or others (they will make you a responsible grownup, and they would make sure that you would learn time management and future planning )

The exams are a bit tough than most government or local colleges so doynt expect a CGPA of 9. If your CGPA is 7.5 you are considered as a above average student. The exam pattern is very good for testing the students knowledge and depth. We can say that it's quite relevant

Basically I am a 2nd year mechanical student. There a quite good companies attending our college for placements. Core companies like Robert Bosch, CAT, wolkswagon etc many bon core companies. Still Google has not recruited many students from the past few years. Still good companies are there for the best students

anokha tech fest (major). Gokulastami( major). Amritotsavam(minor). Ugadhi (minor). Vishu ( minor). And many but all others fests are minor when compared to anokha tech fest and gokulastami cultural fest. They are bit stingy in spending money but you would be happy when compared to other local colleges

Yes we need to pay full fees for confirming our seat. Yes College does provide transparency If you have confirmed your seat through management quota( your rank should be bellow 9 k for other states)(students from Tamil Nadu it's 30k) it's like 5lak(4+1 lakh) per year Or if you have scholarship then it would depend on the percentage of fee waive. Basically the fee for this college is 3lakh(- college fee)+1 lakh( -hostel fee)

No I have not benn given any scholarships. students who have scored well in their entrance exam of amrita are given but are taken back if Their CGPA fall below a certain level.

As a mechanical student there are garages for designing car for BAHA, SUPRA,REV. There would be a selection process for getting into the teams of these 3. You need to go through interview with faculties and captain of the respective teams for getting selected. gender ratio is low than IIT's and NIT's

Yes I have opted for hostel and it's inside the college itself so you needn't buy a bike. Rooms are of 4 sharing. Room's are spacious for 4 members but we are responsible for cleanliness of room as not one comes around and cleans your room ) but corridoyear and bathrooms(common bathrooms) are cleaned everyday Hostel mess is bad to worse.for students who come from different states it's hard to adjust as taste would be bad but it is hygiene and and it has high proteins content and all other assentials. PG'sare of 5k per month And separate apartment are there for students but they are a bit costly (9k +rs).

Yes they are very helpful in sharing their experience. I have a 3rd year student who helps me in lot of things and stuff either in Kith or kin. Basically he is like a brother to me

Basically all you need to do is write amrita entrance exam if you are not an local(Tamil Nadu) then you need to go through open round so cut off rank would be basically 3k but if your from Tamil Nadu it depends. You can also get through management quota( only if your rank is below 10 k). The date of admission process would be generally in month of june

The faculty provided to us all PhD graduate or pursuing PhD students so there won't be any issues in faculty but like every college there are some faculty who are worse even though they have PhD background. As I am from a mechanical background there 50 + faculties( mechanical branch itself ) for teaching and many more for labs and workshops.some hold industrial background but not every one.
