Remarks

I don't have any bad remark about my college life. The college was good, proffessors were good and the friends which I made were good too.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There was two internal examinations each year which occured inside the college and the papers were checked by the college proffessors. And there was a final examination in each of the three years which took place in another college and those papers were checked by University professors.

Placement Experience

3

The college doesn't provide any placement, honestly, atleast at graduation level. Maybe one can avail some sort of internship after post graduation course in any department. The tentative percentage of students placed every year from our campus is approximately 40. The institution takes few steps to prepare the students for interviews and placement season.

College Events

4

The College celebrated Republic Day, Independence day, Rabindra Jayanti, Netaji Subhas Chandra's birthday. Few cultural events and social programs were also organised by the student Union of the college. Both Fresher's program and farewell functions are held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is basically reasonable which can be afforded by a student belonging from not so rich family. The college accepts only cash for payment of any kind of fees. There weren't any additional charges for securing an admission to our course. The college provides transparency in the fee-breakdown in the feebook.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any scolarship or education loans. But the college offers scolarship and education loan to the students basing on the merit and financial condition of the student.

Campus Life

4

The ratio of male and female students of my college is 5:3.5. Students has organized few parties among themselves after exams. There was no discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. Every students from any section of the society availed equal status in our campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I haven't opted for hostel. But there is separate hostel for both boys and girls where they can stay apart from their family and attend the classes regularly. The averages rental of the hostel is around 30000 annually. Few PG's are also there.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors of my college were friendly. They helped me and my friends in several fields like completion of assignments, admission and much more.

Admission

I filled up the admission form of this college after my higher secondary exam in the month of June. I was selected in the second merit list which was uploaded by the college in their respected website after one and half months. Thereafter I went to the college and paid my admission fees and got admitted in the college.

Faculty

4.5

There were periodic classes and lectures all year round. There were five classes in a week and at an average 4 lectures each day of one hour. Respective professors of respective subjects shared there knowledge which was vastly benefitial to all students.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
