Remarks
Pretty strict college regarding clothing, permission to leave campus and no non veg food is allowed. No one is allowed to bring food from outside. you need to apply pass 24 hours prior to leaving college and only 2 passes per month unless any emergencies that's it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum are regularly under review I myself have seen it changed for the juniors of my course. They make changes at regular basis for each and every course to make the students as much industry ready as possible. But it's a pretty hectic schedule.
Placement Experience
There's separate placement cell for handling placement in amrita. The CIR( corporate and industry relations) they train students in a holistic manner for the placements. Many reputed companies visit amrita every year. And the placement percentage is pretty high.
College Events
Anokha- the annual tech fest with lot of stalls with cultural nights and eventide Gokulashtami - Krishna's birthday is celebrated in a grand manner with competitions between departments Amritotsavam - cultural fest and lot of sports events between the four houses of amrita
Fee Structure And Facilities
The annual fee is 960000 for my batch. It's increasing every academic year. Online and cash payments accepted. No cheque or dd accepted. The current fees for the freshers batch is 340000 without transportation or hostel and mess fees. So it's pretty much on the expensive side.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the college offers scholarships based on the rank in the entrance exam. The number of scholarships are limited. It most probably finishes in the range of 3000 to 4000 in the AEEE RANK.
Campus Life
In a class of 60 students the no of girls vary from 12 to 20 in every class and its pretty much same across all engineering courses. The majority of students are from Andhra Pradesh, telegana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and also many from Northern parts of the country. There are many clubs and many festivals are celebrated in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are maintained Pretty well and are hygenic, same with regards to washrooms. Its four sharing basis with Bunk beds. Rooms are not spacious enough very much manageable. Annual increases with every academic year.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is pretty strong with meetups often. The seniors are all very much friendly and college strives to a create a friendly atmosphere with many fests, evennts and clubs which involve healthy friendly bonding of all the students from all years of study.
Admission
The admission process begins with applying for AEEE. AMRITA'S own entrance conducted all over India common for three campuses offering engineering. There's a state quota as well. Fees differs with rank obtained in the exam. The placements in the college made me join the college
Faculty
Some faculty are genuinely interested to teach students but they are the minority. But not all are the same. Some faculties are pretty much bang average. It's pretty much left to ourselves to be in their goodbooks. But all the facilities are pretty kind and approachable for all doubts, interests, projects and extra curricular activities. obviously some exceptions included.
