Remarks
There are no negative remarks regarding faculty or studies etc. Only problem is the non teaching staff. They will delay the works and rarely lift any call on the landline.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is prescribed and exams are conducted by the higher authority i.e. Osmania University. It has 7 subjects per semester which include all topics in commerce and play a vital role in making the student a complete professional. There are also industrial visits conducted by the college. There are many companies which accept campus recruitment from Avinash College like delloite, Accenture, cognizant, wipro etc.
Placement Experience
There are many companies which recruit students and every year not less than 99% of the students get recruited. Some of the companies are Wipro, Accenture, Delloite, KPMG, Cognizant, Mahindra, HDFC, ICICI etc. Since I have not gone through placement, I don't know the process.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in our college evry year. Some of them are Traditional day, Annual day, Blood Donation camp, Chairman's birthday and all major festivals such as Vinayaka Chaturthi, Holi, Batukamma etc. All are celebrated in the third floor of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is feasible. As of now, it is Rs. 35,000, 40,000 and 45,000 for B.Com.(Gen). There is an registration fees of Rs. 5,000 and application fees of Rs.500. Every year, there will be annual charges to be paid which is Rs.6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 respectively for each year. It includes charges for all events and no other charges are to be separately paid for any event. There are also extra curricular courses such as TALLY certification classes etc. Fees is included in annual charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarships provided. But, it supports the scholarship provided for economically backward students by the National Government.
Campus Life
There are many extra curricular activities such as Tally Certification course, Sports Meet, Food Fests etc. Normally, gender ratio is 50:50 and ragging is punishable. There are no reservations for backward classes or minorities. Upto now, there no disputes regarding gender, religion or caste.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors and alumni are the secondary sources of knowledge. If there are no faculties available (if they are on leave), seniors will be the most helpful. They clear any doubts we get.
Admission
I was a past intermediate student of the same college. So, I got admission easily. First they will take applications. After that, they will shortlist them. I don't know what is the criteria. When, admission is confirmed, they will call for submission of documents along with parents. We should pay fees at that time itself. No excuses.
Faculty
There are about 30 teachers in the college in which some of them are also P.hD holders. Many of them are in the age range of 30-35 but include all age groups. They will clear all doubts even if asked more than once. They will be available on every working day upto 5 pm.
