No entrance taken. joined on management quota. salary made me to choose this course. Scoring low grades and getting higher salary is only possible in this course
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was actually okay type. not tuff not easy but some staffs who handled the technical subjects were weak. Had out of relation subjects too much. why does marine engineer needs to know about integration and differentiation and calculus
Internships Opportunities
There was no such internships offered. to say frankly finding a job was sooo difficult. wish I had internship. once I completed college then I was searching for jobs directly
Placement Experience
Frankly saying finding a job was sooo difficult. wish I had placement by our college. once I completed college then I was searching for jobs roaming around in Mumbai streets. later I myself found a job in one foreign national shipping company
Fee Structure And Facilities
Literally expensive. but all marine engineering courses were expensive. so its justifiable. I have to pay 2.5 lakhs per year just for course and accomodation. it can be paid in four terms
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship was offered. yet I took educational loan in nationalized bank. 75% of my course fees was offered by bank.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities were okay but there was no enough ground to play. college didn't encourage for playing with national or state or inter college level
Hostel Facilities
Very poor. hostel rooms were dormitories. each room had more than 20 students. food was unhealthy and tasteless. I have to pay 3000rs per month for food and accommodation was included in fees
Alumni/Alumna
From last year they are doing this alumni meets. that's so much a relief. before 2015 there were no contacts from college for alumni. experience in college was not that good anyway
Exam Structure
Exams were like once in six months so it's actually like chilled out one. But no study leaves and no leave in between exam were painful
Faculty
Chief engineers who handled the core subjects were awesome but the newbies handling minor subjects were actually very poor. Just passed out Electrical graduate will not be potential enough to handle final year Marine electricals.
