Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is based on Calcutta University syllabus which is very simplified and explained with proper examples by the faculties.Regular examinations are held in the college campus to improve the knowledge of person and enhance their capabilities.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is one of the best in whole Calcutta university. I am placed in Amazon currently after i completed my graduation. Multiple companies reach to campus for selection. Few of them are Indigo Concentrix TCS and so on.
College Events
The best part of the college is the events that are celebrated every year by the seniors for the juniors in the college. Every year fresher party is done and a fest is organised by the union members. Along with this there is holi celebration saraswati puja celebration teachers day and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a government based college and the fee structure is very acceptable and less in comparison to any other colleges.No extra charges were charged by the college and also the fee breakdown was well maintaimed and provided by the college in the fee payment receipt.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt for any scholarship or loans as the fees is very affordable. Though college offers scholarships and quotas such as sports quota for people playing on behalf of the college.
Campus Life
There is no gender discrimination and almost equal number of girls and boys are present in campus. Computer labs are available for computer practices and chemistry lab for experiments along with physics lab and a gym in the campus is present. College does not encourage any gender or religion discrimination.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel facilities are provided by the college. If Living in PG then it costs 6000 per month rent with food and services and extra money for your daily expenses are needed in addition with 6000 rupees
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very supportive and encouraging and respects the juniors a lot and helps with the curriculum also
Admission
I am a commerce student so opted for B.com honors as it was the best stream available for me and was selected based on my 12th marks.Admission process was very easy as we were called on a particular date and all the process was done on the same day itself.
Faculty
The college runs for 5 days in a week for 5 hours daily with half an hour break. Faculties are very active and falls betwwen the age group of 30-50 year. Their are male as well as female faculties and provide lectures to improve the knowledge. Not any specific certifications are provided though.
