CET. I got in to this college in the second round of CET. I always wanted to become a mechanical engineer and this college was a reputed one for mechanical course.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the first year we get to know abt all the departments in the curriculum. After first year the subjects become more core. The the third and fourth year there is a chance for us to choose our interesting subjects as electives and our projects.
Internships Opportunities
I went to TATA motors for internship which was not offered by any one. There were no stipend offered. The stay was very brief (10 days).
Placement Experience
Very poor for core companies. No core companies came to the placements. Only mass recruitment companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra offered jobs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As i studied in an aided college the fees was reasonable compared to un aided colleges. First year 18000, after that 24000 every year. Only disappointment was the fees for supplementary is 4000 against 150 per subject in VTU which was insane.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, for the ST/SC and other categories but not for GM.
Exam Structure
Similar to many autonomous colleges in Karnataka. Internals -3, Semester exams and practicals. The trick was to score more in the internals which holds good for 50% marks of the Semester exams.
