Remarks
The course curriculum is quite good and systematic. Each Semesters of the 8 Semesters has 5-8 courses(subjects) in it, each one with a course coordinator, who decides the weightage of exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
Speaking of exams, there are 2 exams Mid Sem and End Sem. Moreover, the coordinator of the course may conduct quizzes along with Mid Sem and End Sem. There is no Compulsory Attendance, but the coordinator of any course may introduce some weightage for attendance for his particular Course.
Placement Experience
The Placement Cell of IIT makes sure to invite companies for recruitment, and they do good job. The companies come with job offers, and mostly high paying jobs for IT students, which does not restrict to CSE Students only but also open to all the branches. Speaking of Internships, there are not much Companies coming for internships. Mostly internships are limited to CSE and EE students, but students take off campus internships with varyong stipends.
College Events
Tarang, nss program, music, dance all kinds of cultural program is also organise. Inter college debate, sport, seminars, tournaments are also held here. Every year college celebrates its annual function.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not enrolled in any scholarship, but still, there is Merit Cum Means scholarship, Fee remission for families with low income, and interest subvention schemes(VidyaLaxmi Scheme) are also available if one has taken any Educational Loan.
Alumni/Alumna
I don't know much of the alumni network, but the seniors are very helpful here. One can go to seniors for any doubts or help. They help in learning technical stuff which is really helpful for our CVs and future.
Admission
Through JOSAA counselling, and JEE Advanced Rank. It required 2 years of preparation and hardwork. One needs to clear JEE main cutoff first, in their respective category, to appear for JEE Advanced. Unlike NITs, There is no HomeState quota in IITs.
Faculty
The Faculty here are very cooperative in academics. Most of them have at least a Doctorate Degree and ample knowledge in their subject. There is an 8:1 student to faculty ratio, which is considered quite good. Each student is allotted a Faculty Advisor whom he can contact for any matter.
