Remarks

It a place we all call as our second home,it is place where we have build our lifetime friends from various places, states. We know each other strength and weaknesses, develop brotherhood. Here no one can be separated from another. We learn and grow together. Teachers are brothers who scold in required and love for our result. It's a place with unity in diversity and towards a common goal of progress.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is too much difficult as one has to cover various subjects in 4yr time. Semester wise there would be courses based on subjects like Agronomy, Plant pathology, Agro Chemicals, Soil Science, Entomology, Agro Economics, Extension Education, Statistics, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Computer Science, Crop Production, Plant Genetics, Horticulture etc.

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are there in some of the big fertilizer companies. But it need to be mentioned that most of the students opt for higher studies as Agriculture has vast area for self enrichment. Worth mentioning that most of the students got placed to various Public Sector Banks through exams as there are huge demand for Specialist Officers.

College Events

1. Ananda Mela : It is little fair organised by the students with their receipes and earn with a great enjoyment. Organised in the evening before Mahalaya. 2. Pous Mela : It is an annual fair organised by the University itself and visitors across the globe come here. 3. Theater: Plays are portraited by various department students and one of them become winner 4. Hala-Karshan : It is a festival of ploughing 5. Tapan Memorial: It is a open competition on various events and organised in memory of a passed away Alumni Tapan Da. 6. Magh Mela : Organised in the Bengali month of Magh and it's rural fair with a competition on different farm produce by the local villagers. 7. Agun Jalo : Organised on the 14th August mid night with lighted torch around the whole campus in respect of our country's Independence.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there is a facility for Scholar for economically weak students. It is known as Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. The students can apply for any other Scholarship as well but the fact is he/she can avail only one scholarship at a time.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful about anything from study related to any personal issues. There is no report of any kind of Ragging or torture and each and every students are in a deep brotherhood. Even we call with our teachers as DADA/DIDI( I. E. Elder Brother/Sister) and this the beauty of our Visa-Bharati culture.

Admission

In 2011 I had to appear in VBCAT(Visa-Bharati Common Entrance Test) and then a list of shortlisted candidates was published in Visva Bharati website. After that we were to present in the counseling process and document verification as well. In which the minimum marks in 12th was 60%. Though presently the entrance system abolished and now online form fill-up and then 12th marks based merit list wise admission take place.

Faculty

Faculties are extremely kind and knowledgeable about their subjects with great Educational background as well. Most of them are Gold medalist in their respective areas and having numbers of publications.

Placement Experience:

In my University they provide us to seat for the interview of those recruiting companies after 3rd semester online so this is a great opportunity for us to have an experience event because if we read for 4 year course after 1 and half year only we are getting chance to say for the interview and the companies here comes for recruitment are very renowned companies companies like Flipkart Amazon Myntra and many others TCS consultancy they always to visit for recrating so I will suggest that the placement provide by the university is good and 75 to 80% of student getting successfully placed from the university into good companies and with an average salary of 6 lpa to 9lpa

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

There is credit system in every semester and have near ten or eleven papers in every semester except last year where rawe and aia & experimental learning is present. There is almost 50 faculty member with 4:1 student to faculty ratio. Most of them passed out from IARI,Delhi.

From Last semester mean eight semester students are eligible for placement. Syngenta private limited, IFFCO, PRADAN visited our university and select 63 student and give them proper placement. 8 lakhs height placement and average is 3 to 4 lakhs. Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..
