College management is a little lazy in performng some tasks but we manage to get our work done as all are helpful here. Overall the environment is good for boys as well as girls.

I gave 4 entrance exams in total. These were: IIT, DCE, AIEEE and GGSIPU. I was not able to crack only GGSIPU exam as did not get guidance for the same. I just took 2 months crash course from Briliant tutorials.The reason I chose this college as I heard that it has a good placement record and also I belong to minority community(sikh minority). On the basis of this, I was able to get stream if my choice(I.T).I was weak in programming and did not choose CS but my decision came to be incorrect as I.T field also has programming as a part of its curriculum.However, since the placements of CS and IT students are more in this institute so I would recommend any student to choose IT or CS in case he/she wants to join this college.

Course curriculum was fine but it lacked practical work. Every exam of GGSIPU was a theory based and mugging up all the things can get any student clear the exams of this university.

We were not given any stipend as it was a paid training. Training was for java and.net At the end we were given certificates and delivering a working project.

Most of the IT and CS companied visit our campus. The list of companies that visited at my time were: HCL technologies(3.25 lpa), Csc Noida(3.27 lpa), init(5.50 lpa), Mphasis(4.10 lpa), mu-sigma(3.10 lpa) and many more. I did not get placed due to lack of communication skills.

We have an annual fest (GATES) celebrated every year. It usually is organised in the month of march and students from several colleges partcipate in it. The fest goes on for 3 days and we have a star night on the 3rd day. Singera such as Diljit dosanjh, Sharry mann has visited our college as a star guest.

Fees as I know was fine and a student belnging to an avrrahe family can afford it. Being a minority institute, we have an option for scholarship (25000 per year). So, yes we do get financial assistance as well.My annual fees used to be 77000 per year.

Yes, as I belong to sikh religion so was given a minority scholarship of 25000 per year on the basis of my performance in the same course. Yes, it was a lot of help for me. Also, university(GGSIPU)provides fees concession for brilliant candidates.

Yes, we do have a lot of cultural groups such as TSG(Technical society of GTBIT), cultural society and many more. Student of any year and any stream, can join these societies. All well educated peole who know how to respect others, join this college. Hence the environment is cool and safe.

Hostel facility was not there in this college but is located in a residential area so we have an option to stay as a PG in nearby houses. We had a single big canteen which was also a hangout place for GATES preparation.

Yes, I had a word with some seniors and got some useful information. I heard that HCL was not giving joining letter to thr candidates who got placed in HCL.

In B.tech we usually have a lot of exams being number of subjects in every semester(6 months duration). However the day used to be relaxing.

Honestly speaking faculty was not well versed with knowledge(except few of them). So, we used to study on our own. Some of the teachers are so helpful and kind that they agree to teach students not of their batch.
