I choose SRM institute because it is a well-known institute across Chennai and it is among the top 10 best colleges in Tamil Nadu. And another reason was placements and job opportunities offered by the institute. Talking about the infrastructure of the college they have all the necessary infrastructure and laboratories and equipment. The college is well maintained by the management and staffs. The living places are clean and the campus is green. The teaching is good and I am currently a student in this college pursuing my career in BTech ECE. The professors are well qualified and the curriculum is often updated which includes all the development in the field. Talking about placements currently, I have less idea about it as I am in the prefinal year and my placement offers starts at the end of this year. And if you want to join this institute we have pass the entrance exam namely SRMJEE.

I choose this course as I have an interest in the communication field and the teaching quality is good and the facilities are well qualified and the institute has an abundant number of faculties for each department. The curriculum is often updated and this institute encourages us to do more practical and working projects than studying the whole syllabus.

From 7th semester students are allowed to placements. But I am not having any ideas about placements and job opportunities as I am in the prefinal year and my placements start from next semester. My plans after getting the degree are to go for a job as I need to gain some experience in any company.

The fees vary with the course we select and the general fees for BTech are 2.5 lakhs per annum. And for the hostel fee, transport fee, mess fees will be add ons from the previously mentioned fees.

The annual tech feat in our college is texus and the annual symposium of the ECE department is elecxa and much more from other departments. These are conducted mostly in the month of February and March. There are plenty of books and newspaper journals in the library which will be helpful for the students. All the classrooms are conducted through smart class were pictorial representation is demonstrated for easy grasping of the students. Talking about sports football, basketball, cricket and badminton are primarily focused on our campus. There is a student club in our campus named campus life and campus.
