Satyaranjan Ojha's Review On Prabhat Kumar College, Midnapore

Our beloved principal Mr. Amit Dey, who is such a inspiration to us, he is a real torchbearer. He is very careful to us.

Basically i love commerce just bcs of its vast exposure in higher level, i had 8 subject for three annual semester divided into 2 subject for 1st year, 3 for 2nd year & 3 for 3rd year of the course. In every quarter internal exam has been conducted by the college & One final exam also conduct by the University under which college is registered. Based on the annual & internal exam score marksheet are being prepared for each student.

It is a govt college at B.Com level there are no campus programme has been conducted on my time. We have been undergone through a training programme during the course of our study, this is basically a guidance on what to do after B. Com.

Each year we celebrate Saraswati Puja, Annual cultural programme is organised by the college. We celebrate Republic Day, Independence Day. And we also celebrate the birthday Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Vidyasagar, Swami vivekananda.

Fees are structure by govt norms. At my time during rhe tenure i had only paid Rs. 10000 to 15000 maximum for admission & examination fees which include all types of expenses such as tuition fees, library fees etc. We have to paid our admission fee & examination fees at cash counter.

No i have not opted for any scholarship & education loan, may be there are some scholarship programme run by the college, i had no idea regarding this.

Our college campus is very neat & clean, we sincerely follow Swatch Bharay Abhiyan which is a very notable programme initiated by Govt. of India. There are more than 15000 thousand student are studying in various subject. As a commerce student i only know we have a computer lab in our stream. Where we are allowed to practically learn computer. Our college have student union, they are active all time & they take various step towards college development. They are very friendly to students they listen to our problems. There is no such tollerance in gender as well as religion.

We are in touched with some of our alumni brothers, they are very helpful during our time, they guide me which subject i may study after my graduation.

After clearing my H.S, i came to know about this college, which has strong base on Arts, Commerce, Science. Basically i am a commerce student for Higer Study i choose this college. There is merit base selection for admission in Accountancy Honors course, for which you have to score atleast 50? in accounts subject in 12th grade.

Per day there are 8 lecture and it is compulsory to all the student to attend the same. For every subject we have different professors, They have depth knowledge in each subject. I had remember Mr. Tamal Basu is our Taxation teacher, he is a gem on tax matter. On his lecture we are just sit with pin drop silence to listen.
