UPCEEE, this college was 75 years old and is very good. This is one of the best college in UP and also very reputed. The admission process was also good and useful.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was exhaustive as per standards being followed. All aspects of an engineering degree were covered in 4 years of study. The computer science engineering degree had advanced theory and lab courses which were helpful in making students industry ready.
Internships Opportunities
Internship expertise was great and we were offered stipend for attending the same after 3rd year. Students were encouraged to have multiple internship as well to get them more familiariized with industry.
Placement Experience
Placement in some branches were around 300% mainly in chemical engineering. Other core branches also had good placements and around 80%. Package offer ranged from 1L to 1.5L in the year 1999.
College Events
Many events were celebrated like Odyssey, Techera. Odyssey is for cultural and Techera is technical symposium. Participation from all state colleges is there for these events
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was not so expensive then and was around 2000 INR per semester so total of RS 4000 per year. Hostel fees were also RS 1000 per year. They also had scholarship scheme where top 25% students used to get their fees waived off.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan was not much required as such. Scholarship was provided by institute to top 25% students and all their fees were waived off.
Campus Life
Sports activity was very good and annual sports day were conducted. There were teams for all sports and they participated in local/state events and championships.
Alumni/Alumna
Some of the alumni networks are very strong and happening. However there is no formal alumni network being driven by Institue. It will be great for a regular and formal Alumini network and drive different events.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is great and were very disciplined. There were 2 mid semester exams and 1 main semester exams. Lab tests were part of these. The theory exams were conducted in continuation and gets completed in 5/6 days. The exam schedule for complete semester was also published on the very first day of opening of semester.
Faculty
Faculty were also very experienced and knowledgeable in all branches. Some of the faculties were also young so as to bring in the mix of recent happenings and dynamism of the industry.
