Course Curriculum Overview
The course were consists of 6 semester. WBUT conducts 2 semester in a year. All of the semester were related to core computer application fundamental and hands-on approach, OS, micro processors, networking model, digital computer algorithm, mathematics including matrices, set theory etc. In the final semester i had completed an internship in a small farm and completed my 3 years bachelor programm.
Placement Experience
In my final year I had an experience of internship in a small farm. The placement was not successful as 2009 was the recession year across the entire corporate world. Though they have tried to place all of us but situation was extremely difficult.
College Events
My college always encourage all the students by organising various events. I can remember following 1. Different Seminar driven by our college support stuff and students. 2. Some special days were celebrated like Holi, Tagore birth day, other cultural events. 3. Sometime professional dance group was invited to have a life style programm.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My total course fees including all semester's was 1, 59, 000 but as I was entitled for a scholarship, i got 30 thousand less. The course fees are divided into 6 semesters though. Separate training program conducted by college authority was actually outside the actual course fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have been entitled for a scholarship from my college based on my academic scores. Likely 30,000 was considered out of 1,59,000 total course fees. Rest of the amount was arranged through a educational loan. I have applied for the loan along with my father as a guranter. They disburse the loan amount to each semester.
Campus Life
My college always encourage us by conducting various events like Seminars where we had plenty of guests across all different sectors like technologist, sheff, media person etc My college was also sincerely taught the education and personal life balance programm. Corporate etiquette, language lab is also a part of our development.
Alumni/Alumna
Unfortunately we were the first batch of NSHM kolkata branch therefore we did not have seniors in our campus.
Admission
Post 12 th grade, I had appeared on CET (Common Entrance Test) this exam is conducted by WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology) to get admission in the respective college affiliated with them. My college NSHM also conducted a counselling for all new joinee. I had an interview with them and they also entitled me for a scholarship based on my academic records.
Faculty
Faculty of my college was extremely good and professional. I always got help from them throughout my all semesters. We also had some guest lecturers whenever required. HOD of college had a strict inspection on our communication with faculty and there was a rating programm exists for all faculty.
