Course Curriculum Overview
Our Course Curriculum is balanced that is it is both research and Corporate driven. It is designed so that an individual can easily figure out whether he / she is going to pursue higher studies or he /she is going join some MNC in future. In first year all students are same courses then from 2nd year branch specific courses are taught.
Placement Experience
Being one of the most reputed college our college have very good placement record every year. Placement drive for final year student starts in December month. Our college have a specific Placement Cell named Student Placement office(SPO). This placement cell also hold a Internship drive for 3rd year Students.
College Events
Antaragni is a non-profit organisation run by the students of IIT Kanpur. It was funded entirely by the Student Gymkhana of the university it began. Today the budget is almost Rs 1 crore, raised through sponsorship. It began as an inter-collegiate cultural event in 1964, and now draws in over 30, 000 visitors from 300 colleges in India Annual cultural.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur campus offers degree courses in various fields such as engineering, management & research. The fee structure for various courses are mentioned below: The course fee for all the specialization of B. Tech/ B. Arch/ Dual Degree is INR 2, 00, 000 per annum. The Ph. D. course fee is INR 30, 000 per annum. Fee for MBA Program is INR 1, 40, 000 per annum. The fee structure for B. Sc is INR 2, 00, 000 per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Partial and full student scholarship support and merit awards are provided to students who are not eligible for government scholarships. Scholarships are mainly provided to UG students as the PG programmes are fully covered by the government. Around 10% of the UG students are also covered under the social welfare programs of the government. There are MCM, Inspire, FBM scholarships for students.
Campus Life
Boy to Girl ratio is very poor about 1/10 roughly. Our college is known to have a good history of Student representation in different spectrums. We have Students Gymkhana under which we have Science and Technology Council, Media and Culture Council, Games and Sports Council. Under Science and Technology Council we have different clubs like Robotics, Aeromodelling, Electronics, Programming, etc. Under Media and Culture Council we have Dramatics Club, Dance Club, Music Club, Debating society, etc. Apart from these we have Nature club, Swami Vivekananda Samiti, etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Huge network of alumni and always there to help you out. Notable alumni are Narayan Murthey, Manindra Agarwal, etc.
Admission
Admission to these programmes is made once a year in July through Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-Main) and Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced (JEE- Advanced) conducted on an All India level in April and May by CBSE and IITs respectively. The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent. For the detailed procedure in this regard, visit JEE- Advanced website before the end of December preceding the year in which admission is sought.
Faculty
Our college have a very Good team of Faculty members, they are highly qualified in their respective feilds. They do have very good grasp over the topics. They do offer projects for better understanding of the topic. Some of the notable faculties of my college are Nitin Gupta, Laxmidhar Behera, Neeraj Misra, etc.
