The learning imparted here is praiseworthey. The highly experience professors greatly indulge themselves in shaping a student's career. The under graduate courses available under this University is of 4 years comprising of 8 semesters. Each semester has 2 exams. Apart for it, the students are also provide industry specific knowledge and enterpreneurship knowledge that greatly helps a student in his life further. There are various industrial visits, exposure visits organized among the students every now and then.

There are various companies visiting the campus for their placement drives. As it is a Agricultural University, so various Agri based companies are often seen carrying out their drives for Agricultural graduates and post graduates.

There are a lot of events celebrated inside the University premises. Every year college week is being orgnanised among the students of the campus in late November. Among the 9 colleges, Inter college meet is also being organised. Apart from it, cultural programme "Unifest" and sport event " Uni-sports" is being organised every year among all the Universities of the country. The University has it's own fest named "Aventine" organised every year for a couple of days in mid of May. Apart from all these, various cultural and management festivals are celebrated every now and then.

This is a state University and like all other state educational institutions, the fee structure is never very expensive. For a course, a student has to bear an amount of nearly Rs. 14000-15000 annually for hostellers (in 2 semesters) excluding the hostel expenses of around Rs. 1500 monthly for mess dues. One can opt for various scholarships being offered by the state and also from UGC. The University also provide merit scholarship to 20% of the students in each semester.

The campus life is amazing. One would never love to take his departure form this campus. There are 15 hostels in the campus and various cultural, sports, management festivals are celebrated every now and then. There are various workshops on personality development, enterpreneurship, dance, drama and lot more. Various competitions like dance, debates etc. are organised among the state very often. The ratio of boys to girls in the compus is 1:3. There is a union body formed by students members through election, that greatly helps each and every student in any need. There is no gender inequality nor discrimination in the ground of race, religion, caste, gender etc in the campus.

The hostels of the University are quite good. There are a total of 15 hostels in the campus premises with around 1000 students in them. The hostels facilities are sufficient for a student to be at ease. The hostel rooms are well painted with a bed, a table and a wardrobe for each hosteller. Each room has a capacity of two students. There is a dinning hall for the students to have their food. There is also a common room for students to sit together and enjoy watching television. There is parking facilities for the students as well.

Yes, the seniors are even going great in their own field. Many are well settled with various designated posts of the state and the country. Many are well absorbed in various banks, various companies etc.

Assam Agricultural University has 9 colleges under it, in various places of Assam. There is 3 Agricultural colleges, 2 veternery colleges, 1 Sericulture college, 1 Horticulture college, 1 fishery collery and 1 college of Community Science. This University is in among top ranking Agricultural Universities of the country. It offers under graduate, post graduate and doctorate degree programmes. The admission into graduation level is through counselling procedure based on marks obtiained in PCB in 12 standard. The admission into post graduation and doctorate degree programme is through entrance organised by the University.

The lecturers are highly qualified. There are almost 150+ lecturers in the campus. Their ages ranges from 30+ to 60. They all are doctorate degree holders with various additional qualifications to their name. Many of them are well known names in the field of research in the country and abroad even. They are experts in their own fields and also indulge themselves in imparting better education to the students. The lecturers play an important role in shaping a student's career.
