The fee is very less. For that you visit www. kanpur university. com. as I know the fee is around 50k that is very less as compared to private institutions. You also get a scholarship equal to your tuition fee so your study cost equal to zero. Rest is your hostel fee that can't be refunded.

Yes, there is a scholarship that I got from the state government almost equal to the fee of my institute. So according to my study is free.

Yes, there are many fests celebrated. Some of them are techmart that is an annual technical fest celebrating in this institute. In this fest, various colleges in the city can participate and this fest is sponsored by many companies. Anyone can participate in this.
Hostel Facilities
No, I am local here so I can not opt for the hostel. But I have visited the hostel many times and found that the hostel condition is very good. Food etc is also good. No one complains about that as I know.

Yes, there is a vast alumni network. You can find that on the university sites and also on Facebook. From there you got knowledge.
Admission
Through state entrance exam by Uttar Pradesh technical university Lucknow. This institute is good for those who want to study in Kanpur. No extra charge for any other activities. Fees are affordable as compared to private institute fee is very less. There are also many scholarships.
Faculty
There are five subjects in each semester some of the semester in which practical subjects are included you got six subjects. As all of you know practical experience is very important to do the institute has a very equipped laboratory where you boost your practical experience.
