KGMU is the best medical college of India. In rankings it is No. 4. A+ NAAC certified, Infrastructure is good, teaching hall is fully AC.
Course Curriculum Overview
BDS is the course mainly dealing with patients oral hygiene, main aim of a dentist is to provide a disease free mouth. Exams are held twice in a year to judge a student's grasp over the subject. In BDS course total 19 subjects are there which are covered in 4 years.
Placement Experience
Since it is a Medical college so no placements are there, u have to prepare for pg exam. BDS is a 4 year degree programme with 1 year compulsory rotatory internship.
College Events
When spring arrives we celebrate Basant Panchami every year, we give fresher's to our Juniors, farewell to our seniors, Teachers day is celebrated, In December we have our college fest Rhapsody which lasts for 3 days. Faculty vs Student Cricket match is also organized to maintain the bond, then we have Georgian Premier League between students, 10 over Cricket match.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it is a Govt. college, fees is not very expensive. Every year we pay around 51, 000 including Hostel, library fees, extracurricular activities. Mess fees is based on daily diet, for 1 diet we have to pay Rs. 50. Fees is paid via demand draft which is paid in campus bank.

College provide scholarships for various research programmes for the student, it also provide support for foreign education tour.
Campus Life
In our course 45 girls and 27 boys are there. There is healthey environment in campus, we have various events like debates, elocution, dance, singing competitions. We together give farewell to our seniors. We have students from various parts mainly from UP side only.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, in first year we live on a sharing basis 2 or 3 people in a room. From second year we are shifted to another Hostel in which we are given single room for each individual, the rest 3 years we have to live here only. The best part is 24 hr. Water and electricity facility. There are 8 floors in present Hostel, 2 lifts in this hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful wether in studies or mental support. They also provide monetary support whenever needed. During exam days they are very helpful. One of our alumni is Dr. Naresh Trehan, CEO of Medanta Hospital, Delhi.
Admission
First u have to appear for NEET exam, based on the merit u get mbbs seat or bds seat. U get seat through 4 rounds of counseling, based on your marks in NEET u get your desired medical college. NEET exam is mainly held in month of May, by first week of June result is announced. Then first round of counseling starts, all 4 rounds are completed till July. By August session starts.
Faculty
KGMU has a rich legacy, faculties are well educated having deep knowledge of the subject. BDS course has nearly 60 faculties working hard to make us understand. Various posts of faculties Professor, Assistant professor, Associate professor and Lecturer. Then we Head of every department. Since KGMU has a bright past we all are working hard to maintain the name of college.
