The college management is very fast with their responses and interactions with the students, however I think that the frequency of such interactions should be increased.

The course curriculum of mechanical engineering at indus university is practical driven with industry relevant syllabus. The course is designed in a way that it imparts the basic knowledge which then goes in depth of every topic which helps with gaining practical knowledge and this helps a lot with the questions asked by the companies visiting the campus. Our department of mechanical engineering has a policy of conducting 2 industrial visits every semester which has been followed rigorously every year and every semester.

The placement center has 2 dedicated faculties working everyday to get the best companies that they can for the students. The companies related to my field which visited last year were L&t, Byju's and many more. Each company has their own CGPA criteria through which they filter the students they require and after that they have an aptitude and logic based exam as 2nd filter and then they have a interview where they ask subject and course related questions to test the knowledge of the students after which they have the final round before giving out offers. The students that want jobs and qualify for the drive are all placed except a few. The placement drive of the institute conducts special seminars and webinars and workshops to keep the students at par with the abilities that are tested by the companies.

The 2 main events of our college is Instincts and Ramzat which are conducted every year. The college festival that is Instincts is the collection of technical events, cultural events, sports events and extracurricular activities. It is conducted on a very large scale with events ranging from every department. Ramzat which is the garba event is the grand night where students gather from all over the city to participate. Students from every department participate as well as help conduct and coordinate the events. Other than that workshops and technical events and small events are conducted every week.

My fee for the course of mechanical engineering is around 50, 000 per sem. The college accepts fees with every possible mode of payment like cash, cheque, credit or debit card, demand drafts and internet banking for the ease of students and their parents. Their are no other extra fees other than the one demanded at the beginning of every semester for which a receipt is mailed a few days after payment which contains a detailed breakdown of the fees demanded.

Many scholarships are available for the students who require them with criteria applied to them. I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan.

There is approximately 50-50 ratio of male and female students with student from different backgrounds and economical backgrounds. The college is well equipped with different labs for every department and subject. The labs have well dedicated staff and machines which work to give a practical experience to the students. The college has sports for which selections begin very semester where the students can try and get selected for the sports the are trained in and they further go on to play inter college tournaments and college provides well equipped grounds and equipment for that. Events are conducted every week which are very well conducted and students from different universities participate and the competition gets tough sometimes but is very well enjoyed by the students.

The college seniors are very friendly and provide any information that helps you with anything that you may require in college. I had seniors help me with my assignments and projects and also help me deal with exams. Seniors also provide material and equipment that they owned to the juniors to study well.

I was very interested in mechanical engineering right front he beginning as I loved how machines worked and wanted to learn about their mechanism. What made me decide to opt indus university was the fact that it's a private institution which has it's own benefits and the fees where quite affordable as compared to other private universities in ahmedabad. After deciding to take admission in this college I had to do choose this college in the ACPC admission procedure. After which I got the confirmation letter about getting the admission after which I had to visit the college with my parents to confirm it. To avail the admission I had to submit my documents like 12th marksheets, ID proof and the first semester fees, the process was quite easy and the college staff which is dedicated to help you truly does an amazing job at helping the confused students.

We have 4-5 lectures everyday along with either tutorials or practical. The professor are well qualified with every single one of them having a masters degree in their subjects and age ranging from 24-40. The professors all have a masters degree and the senior professors having masters degree as well as a doctorate degree in the subject they teach. They are all very qualified for their subjects and prepare well every week and every day to teach the students the best that they can. Many if the professors hold experience in the relevant subjects in the industry and also have certification from institutions like NPTEL.
