No, campus was too much good, we got the all facilities in our campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mostly our captain's was used to teach us in practical way and give a great platform for better opportunities. For each subject we were having the retired Captain's, they were having the practical knowledge in each subject also they were having vast experienced on ships, we were having the ship simulator in our campus, it was very good opportunity in itself to gain good and practical knowledge.
Placement Experience
Placement was good, there were so many company visited for campus interview like K Line, MOL etc.
College Events
Moksha, pongal, sports festival, diwali, eid and holi festival etc, each festival was used to celebrate like the event in our academy and all people used to enjoyed a lot. Some time for some events we used to go other state like banglore, kerala for nautica.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible, we were having the choice how we wanted to pay within 1 year for 2 semester or else in every 6 month, in my course bsc nautical science there were having only 6 semester so i was used to pay 1. 6 lakh every semester, although it was easy to pay in installments.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, i was selected in merit list, but there was no deduction in fees. So many cadets took loan for this course too.
Campus Life
There were no single girl in our campus because it was a merchant navy campus. Apart from this all type of activity used to carried in every year, although we all got the chance to show our skills and talent. Even though our competition was in national level.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, for us hostel was mandatory, in each room there was 4 cots, room rentals was included in our fees semester, there were all facilities available in room given by campus like a.c etc. There were separate t.v room which one was common for all.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, our senior was very helpful. First time when we joined they helped in each and everything. We learned so many things from them.
Admission
Wanted to become nautical officer, i was seeking for good maritime college at last i had contacted in so many maritime universities and at lastly i have chosen this vels university because i spoke with captain N. KUMAR he was such nice person although he is the one of our big captain in india.
