Remarks

College has a student friendly culture. My College has favourable environment for study.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The MBBS course is designed by MCI(Medical Council of India) approved by the government of India. It makes student fully professional doctors. Exams are conducted on end of a semester of 6 month duration. Research are done by scholars here. Practical based studies are conducted in our college.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college offers a year internship in the attached hospital PBM hospital bikaner and after that you can get placement in any nursing home.

College Events

4

Introduction programme - a day when new students introduce to their teachers and seniors Fresher's party - for new fresher's batch a welcome ceremony is organised every year. Wave - a yearly event in SPMC (SARDAR PATEL MEDICAL COLLEGE) for all type of extracurricular activities such as dance music theatre modelling speech debates and supports etc. It is a 7 days event which is very much liked among spmcians. Deekshant samaroh - where all the students who have completed their MBBS, gets degree certificate from honourable principal sir.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is changed in instalments as per semester. Yearly around 25000-3000 INR is charged as fees. Only cash is accepted here. There is no extra charges for admission. But for university exams you have to pay exam fees on university website. State government is increasing fee every year by 10%. University charges a big amount for exam and rechecking answer sheets.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarships. We have to do on our own. State government is not running any scholarships programme for economically weak upper caste MBBS students. SC&ST students get their fee paid by government schemes. All girls get 50% off on their academic expenses.

Campus Life

2.5

Though NEET (UG) is a tough exam, in SPMC gender ratio is 3:2. Campus life is just like another medical college. There are extracurricular activities too, we host camps for public health issues and aware villagers about disease and prevention. In campus all subjects have modern labs. Sports week is held every year. College playground is always available for students. Debates are held on various occasions. Robotics is not our subject.

Hostel Facilities

3

I haven't applied for hostel seat as there is lack of rooms because hostels were build according to a batch of 150 students and now a batch of 250 students comes every year. Residents get first priority in hostel allotment. UG students have to share room with 3 roommates. Pg rent to meet quality standards is 5000 rs.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very nice to us. They help us to get comfortable in college environment. Seniors help in study, give their books. They support us in every situation.

Admission

Admission in SP medical college is obtained by merit list of NEET(UG) exam. Every year in may NEET exam is held by Medical Council of India and on the basis of merit list counselling is done for getting a MBBS seat in medical college. Admission are usually accepted till July and new batch classes started from August 1st (this year 2020 due to covid-19 the exam date is postponed and admissions will be delayed).

Faculty

3.5

In a year there is about 200 hours of lecture. In whole course of MBBS about 1500 hours lecture have to be attended. All teachers are well qualified. Some are MBBS doctors and some are MSc holder. Lectures are runned every day except Sundays. Some teachers are/were doing work in hospital as a doctor.

The curriculum followed by the college is similar to the curriculum of National medical council which offer about the duties of Indian medical graduate. The exams conducted by the administration are moderate to difficult but can be passed if studied regularly. Three semesters are conducted every year and a final university exam is conducted. We became eligible for placement after internship. Till internship,we don't have any choice to work anywhere else unless your family own a hospital. After internship,we can join a hospital as mbbs doctor or we can opt for examination like NEET pg or UPSC CMS or M.O. Highest package is 1-2 lakhs per month Lowest package is 50000 per month Percentage of students getting placement -80% My plan is to qualify neet pg and get a high ranked course .
