Course Curriculum Overview

Food technology is an emerging course with great future, the role of food technologist is vital in food processing from *FARM TO FORK*, this 4 year Btech program consist of both theoretical skill aswell as practical knowledge. College provide opportunities to do internship at reputed MNc companies as well as conduct industrial visits to many industries for understanding industrial application. College also offer high placement opportunities.

College give a extra care when it comes with placement, this year the first batch of food technology is passing out.

College Events

College also give importance to sports, provide better facility for cricket, football, basketball, Athletics etc. College also celebrate functions like Onam, pongal etc, Every year college conducts "Velan Thiruvizha" where all the farmers and agrarians participate.

Different courses have fee structure based on its demand and changes. Compared to other colleges in the locality it's feasible here, the students on merit can study here in feasible way as well as the management quota students too.

College has a good infrastructure and campus life, no political parties are ruling here, well and good campus with anti ragging cell.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not so satisfying but manageable, 4 people share a room together and have separate mess for boys and girls. Outing is permitted by consent permission of the department faculties.

Admission

As I am from neighboring state of tamilnadu only option in front of me was to take a admission on management quota. The merit list of higher secondary examination is only considered for the students of tamilnadu, other state students can only opt Management quota, I have took my admission directly.

Faculty

College have good faculties and professors, most of them are PhD holders and Msc is the basic qualification here. Among the teachers there are freshers as well as experienced dignitaries.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

To be Frank, my cousin who is an alumini of this college who suggested me that this college is a good one for engineering, and I believed it blindly but lately regretted for that decision, the quality of the education is quite low and the holidays are rare in this college, but it is better compared other engineering college in it's tier.
