Entrance Preview
I took Karnataka common entrance test (CET) and scored 16081 st Rank among the 60000 students appeared for the entrance test.During the counseling all the document verification was done and was given a notice to the college about the student (my ) details and me given the college fee structure details.
Internships Opportunities
During the final year, the internship offered to us was by HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) where the stipend was very less, around 1000.My internship was based on sound navigation used in the aircraft without any attenuation and distortion to the base station using strong semiconductor amplifiers.
Placement Experience
Thought placements at my college very very thin, it was limited to high scores of 75 % and above .Only Infosys and Satyam were the companies, around 18 people were selected from the college Infosys - Fresher package was 2.1 Lacs/annum - 13 StudentsSatyam around 2.4 lacs / annum - 5 Students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure when I joined was very feasible in 2000. But the fee structure is very very expensive when i was graduated in 2004.The CET Karnataka during counseling took a fees of 7000. Second year was close to 10000 which was to be paid to college and the next 2 years were less than 10 thousand rupees.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had availed scholarship from the college being very less annual income (family). The first year it was not provided. The second year got almost the money which I paid for the admission and rest two got more scholarship than what I had paid during the admission.
Campus Life
Campus life was the golden life, having fun in the hostel with beers and smokes sometimes. Some times had organized non veg treats in the hostel mess.College had a structure of cultural representative, his role was to organize the cultural events by taking suggestions from Juniors/Seniors.Debates were mainly on the sports ground for the assets provided .
Exam Structure
Initial year was very hectic, took time to get adjusted to the semester structure. As the year passed it was routine and study holidays were like unstoppable enjoyments with studies, group combined studies. Xerox copies, print outs. Labs were the most difficult subjects in my curriculum as the electronics never yielded the exact outputs.
Faculty
The college had very few good seniors lecturers. Analog communications was taught by the head of the department and few new lecturers were pass out from the same college who had very minimal teaching skills, by then I had adopted to learn self.The senior lectures were limited to first year and few important subjects through out the graduation.
