Remarks

Our college should work on placement cell and there are many more uncultured boy who simply argue or threaten us. The principal or Union students should take actions about it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am pursuing Bcom honours from this college as it's a govt. College it's fees is very low compared to other private colleges. Here are many students yeah the main thing I want to tell that it's A Boy college and here we have very helpful seniors students, who guide us in every situation not only in exam but also in solving problems. Teachers helps us to groom properly how to present yourself infront of others n all. Now from last 2 years Calcutta University declared the examination will be Semester Wise.

Placement Experience

2.5

Our college has the average placement cell, after completing 3rd year of graduation most of the students want to pursue master few want to get placed in good reputed companies. Many companies come in our college to recruit genius students with good salary mainly they choose the student who scored good in 3rd year as well as he/she is smart to work for their respective companies. Their salaries start as a freshers if you join your salary would be around 15-20k monthly.

College Events

3.5

We celebrate many events like Freshers party, Saraswati Puja, Independence day celebration, Holi, Students birthday party celebration, Teachers Day, Children's Day, Eid, Makar Sankranti, Raksha Bandhan, Friends Day etc. Our college also take part in inter college competition in game's like Cricket, basket ball, carrom board, Table tenis, Chess, football and so. If you are champion in other stream like games go for it play harder one day u can play for nation on behalf of our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Overall including 3rd year the fees structure is not so high in compression to other colleges it will hardly take 30-35k for a student to clear a 3years of graduation. This is main advantage of government colleges the fee they take is very low with good quality of teaching.

Fees and Financial Aid

If your 12th mark is good then only u can apply for scholarship or else you have to be from Reserved category like SC, ST, OBC.

Hostel Facilities

2

No I haven't took any hostels because it takes me around 20 minutes to reach to my college. Yes but my friends took PG. for their survival. Don't knw much about PG, but heard many good bad things happen in PG with the partners.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes our seniors are very much helpful to us they guide support us in every situation. We play tournament or indoor games with them.

Admission

I got admission in this college by scoring more than 80%. For entering or to be a student of this college first you have to score marks more than 70% in honour and for general you can get admission by scoring 60% around. First I tried in Goenka college but my marks was low to apply for that college my second option was UMESH CHANDRA COLLEGE so I applied in it.

Faculty

4

Faculty of our college is very good, here teachers are very well qualified by pursuing PhD, Masters Degree which helps us we students to get proper accurate knowledge of books from teachers. Few are strict, more are helpfull and funny that makes us to understand the thing properly what they teach us. Yeah but for attending the classes of teachers you have to be present in the college, if you are late to attend the class by 10-15min then no teacher will allow you to attend his/her class.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
