My college

The food and infrastructure can be improved. but the faculty have good knowledge about their subject and are very dedicated. Overall the college is good.

Course curriculum is okay only. We are anna university affliated college where we follow cbcs. We don't have much practical knowledge. But they do teach us the practical s and make us solve the programs on our own. on campus recruitments are there. every semester we go for industrial visits.

Every year we have placements. By the 5th semester they start preparing us for placement. Companies like ibm, domex, mbit wireless come for placement. They check our verbal, aptitude and coding skills for recruitment. Nearly 80% of our students get placed.

Every year we have symposium conducted by every department seperately. Culturals go on for a few days and sport events for a week. Very few students from other colleges participate because our college is situated far away from the city. But the workshop are really good which are taken by the students.

College bus - 30, 000 Tuition fees - 1, 16, 000 Lunch fees-15, 000 Books - 20000 Breakage amount- 8000. I think that's about the fees structure in my college. They charged 20, 000 capitation while joining the college. Neft payment and cheques are accepted. even online banking.

Yes the college offers scholarships for the students who's parents yearly income is less. and a certain caste gets scholarship. I haven't availed any scholarships so far.

College life on campus is really good. we have some kind of events throughout the year. We have debates for every occasion. for women's day we keep a debate between the students and we mix with the boys and form a team freely. Our college were initially strict on not speaking to the opposite gender. but as we went higher they didn't mind about it. culturals is a one day event where various activities are held. various workshops and debates are held over the year on various occasions.

No I haven't opted for hostel. The hostel environment is mediocre. There are enough bathrooms for everyone to use. If a dayscholar had to stay in that room he'd have to pay 250 per day. The rooms are clean and enough for two people to stay comfortably with their own cupboard and desk.

Alumini come every year to speak about their experience in the job environment. They tell us some tips how to cope with the industry requirements and tell us what are the expectations from the industries. They are very approachable and they speak very freely with the juniors. The seniors are very friendly to us and they talk to us and help us out.

I took computer science and engineering because of its scope. I chosed this institution because of it lab environment. They take you around the college and show their infrastructure. They asked my marks and told me to fill up the forms with necessary certificates.

The college staff and very dedicated and always take care of us. we have mentors who assess our every move and make sure that we perform well. they have mentor meetings where mentoring takes place and ask about what we find difficult in understanding. The teachers on the whole are very dedicated, understanding and caring and always tend to our problems we face.
