Course Curriculum Overview
The B.Com (Hons.) is a 3 years course. This college is affiliated with Calcutta University. The study structure is very much effective for the students and the culture of the study is awesome. My subject doesn't need any lab researches but other subjects.
Placement Experience
If your marks are high you will definitely get placement in big firms. However, every department doesn't provide that opportunity.
College Events
26th January, Cricket matches between colleges are held every year. The college organises a football competition every year as well. There is a college volleyball team in which some player played in state games. Every day there was a common room where students can play table tennis and carrom. 15th August and more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It follows the government college fee structure. Very less. You can make the payment in cash. Bank challans and online as well. You can pay the fee on a yearly basis or on a monthly basis, that depends on you. There is no additional charges or hidden charges for admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. I don't know much about that. At my time I haven't taken any scholarship and none of my friends had taken it at that time.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is 6:4. The college held an annual party every year. Also, there are cultural events, sports and other activities held by the college. Sometimes celebrities come. In 2014 singer Anupam Roy has come and presented his songs. Excellent campus.
Hostel Facilities
As my home is near to the college campus. But if anybody wants to stay in a hostel there may be an option is available in the college. You have to talk to the college administration about that.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. Senior students and alumni are very helpful. They are always looking forward to taking care of the juniors.
Admission
On the basis of my 12th standard marks, I have got the chance to study at Serampore College. The cut off marks were 80%. After madhyamik I have surveyed and looking for the best colleges under CU for commerce. Many people suggested me for Serampore college.
Faculty
The lecturers are very much knowledgeable in their subjects. They know how to teach in a friendly way. Everybody will get interested once they join the college. Many of the lecturers work with Calcutta University also. They give temporary lectures there. These notes were very much helped me in my exams.
