About my college

University system was completely corrupted. Corruption was everywhere especially when it comes to hostel life.

The curriculum was research oriented but had nothing to do with the industrial part. We didn't go to any industrial visits nor even to a tour was organised by the department. The internal evaluation system is such a crap as it paved a path to nothing but partiality.

My university didn't have a good placement program. There was a cell called placement cell which had no job. They created that cell just for the name sake. We had to approach in many places to get internships out of our own interest.

Department held many national level conferences, seminars and workshops. Many speakers from national as well as international universities and institutions have gathered to give talks and training in these events. Also our university had cultural events every year in which all the colleges under the University will participate.

The fee was affordable neither too feasible nor too expensive. They accepted dual payment mode via online payment through State Bank of India server as well as Demand drafts. We had our semester fess and exam fees nothing more than them. Yes there was a transparency in the fees breakdown.

No we didn't have any idea about the scholarships. Our department didn't give any idea about the scholarships we could avail. I didn't avail education loan too.

In our batch the male to femalegender ratio is 3:7. There was always a partiality against women students. They were allowed to be free but they had lot of restrictions in the hostels especially time restrictions. In gents hostel we didn't have any time regulations. We had a lot of sports to play in our leisure time.

Yes. I availed hostel facility. Four or five members had to share a room which is always convenient for sharing. The food quality in hostel mess is okayish not too good or bad. The mess ran on dividing system where total expenses will be shared among all the inmates.

Seniors were really helpful and friendly. There is a Alumni association which has nothing to do with our lives. Our seniors helped us a lot both academically as well as personally. Even after completing the course they help us to get a job, higher studies etc.

I opted for course because I had a good interest towards biology and wanted to contribute something to medical science. I chose the institution because it is a government University. Admission process include cumulative performances in both entrance exam as well as 12th exam.

Our department had seven faculty members who had a doctorate degree and three half-baked guest lecturers who had either a MSc degree or M. Pharm degree. The faculty members were well talented but these guest lecturers are nothing but a piece of crap. All the faculty members had a good exposure to research who always used to motivate students towards research. But none of them had any industrial experience.
