Great college, with a feeling of school

One of the good things is the importance it gives towards attandance and discipline.

The course curriculum and exam structure is quite impressive. Any college needs to have a great set of faculty who teach in a very appropriate manner and just not for the sake of it. We got great knowledge and the teachers taught in a way which helped to gain knowledge. The notes received were sufficient. There was no need to spend a lot of money on textbooks and other reference books. In case anyone wanted extra knowledge, the college has a library which has all the required books of all the important authors.

The placement committee was very involved in their duty. They made sure everyone from the current batch was placed and then the juniors were given the opportunity. And main thing was there was no favouritism. It was based on merit.

We had many events at college. As soon as we joined, there was a one week induction held. This included guest lectures from the experienced personnel from the industry from all specializations so we could take the correct decision for ourself, there were fun activities too so we could get to know our classmates, there were skill development activities which could build our confidence. There were sports activities held throughout the year. A fresher's party and farewell party were also held along with the convocation ceremony.

The fees were ?130000 per year which is quite feasible. The college accepted a demand draft only. They offered a clear transparency in the fee breakdown. The amounts department could be contacted anytime in case of any doubts in the same. There were no other fees to be paid to secure our admission during the 2 years. Only the exam fees had to be paid for the university exams conducted. These fees had to be paid online directly on the Mumbai University site.

I worked for 2 years before doing MBA. I saved enough money to pay for my 1st year fees. I sponsored my own fees for the first year. The 2nd year fees were paid by my father. There was no scholarship opportunity offered to anyone as per my knowledge.

There were many competitions held during this program. There were also parties like the Fresher's party and farewell party. One thing which was interesting was that there were more girls studying than boys. There were Maths Olympia held which were conducted among many colleges. There were debate competitions as well. There were sports competitions too.

We had many activities by which we could interact and get friendly with our seniors. One such activity was a 15 day social program at Mahalaxmi SARAS. Here we could interact with our seniors and this helped us take their reference towards studies too. They gave us important tips on how to study a subject. They also guided us on doing our projects.

I gave my CET and got selected in the first list online for this college. I didn't even wait for the remaining lists and directly went to the college to take my addmission because I had made up my mind to join this college. There were 2 main reasons for this decision. Firstly because it was very near to my home and secondly this college gives a lot of importance to discipline, attendance, etc which are quite important to succeed.

We had lectures Monday to Saturday. On most of the days we had 2 lectures of 3 hours each. Twice a week, we had only 1 lecture per day. On very rare occasions, the lectures would get cancelled due to unavoidable situations and these lectures would get rescheduled on the days when there was only one lecture. The professors are quite knowledgeable and did prior preparations for all their lectures. Most of the topics were made relevant to the industry point of view so that we could be prepared for the future.
