Remarks

Yes, I would like to tell all of you to join this college as it is a semi autonomous College.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of the college curriculum and the objective of industrial visits is to provide students an insight into the internal working of companies. We know, theoretical knowledge is not enough for making a good professional career. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides the student a practical perspective on the world of work. Following the same lines, students of D Y Patil School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies pursuing an MSc in Tourism got an opportunity of meeting the adorable entrepreneur Ms. VeenaPatil of Veena World. Veenatai (as called by her loved ones) gave an insight into how a business can be started and what are the challenges come across while you run your own business. She gave a deep insight into idea generation and shared her experiences. This interaction gave the students exposure to current work practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college. The President of D Y Patil University says, ”Industrial visits provide an excellent opportunity for the students to interact with industries and know more about the industrial environment.

Placement Experience

4

Campus Placements/ Campus Recruitment drives are conducted in various educational institutes for providing job opportunities to the students who are pursuing their particular academic courses. Campus Placements offer a student a wonderful opportunity to get placed during the course of his academic pursuits and provide him the comforts of a safe and secure future. Keeping in mind the importance of the campus placement programs, it is vital for a student to prepare adequately for these programs and make sure that they put their best foot forward.

College Events

4.5

Employers prefer to hire candidates who are equipped with knowledge and expertise in their field and know how to communicate and interact with clients. Your resume speaks for your talent if you have been an active participant in college fests, cultural activities, sports tournaments, or anything outside of the classroom. If you are involved in multiple activities, it reflects your talent and potential. Hiring managers look for such extraordinary talent where you have organized a college fest or hosted an event. Additionally, if students wish to pursue higher studies abroad, these co-curricular activities make them stand out from other students. Involvement in college fests along with classroom learning teaches students how to manage time effectively, prioritize work, follow a schedule, and respect deadlines.

Fees and Financial Aid

Each school has its own criteria that they use [to determine eligibility for merit scholarships], but the way that we do it at Pacific is we look at the student’s high school GPA. We also look at student’s test scores, so either ACT or SAT test scores, ” said Leslie Limper, Director of Financial Aid at Pacific University.

Campus Life

3.5

we apply an intersectionality approach to examine inequalities across eighth-grade outcomes at the intersection of six racial/ethnic and gender groups (Latino girls and boys, Black girls and boys, and White girls and boys) and four classes of socioeconomic advantage/disadvantage. Results of mixture models show large inequalities in socioemotional outcomes (internalizing behavior, locus of control, and self-concept) across classes of advantage/disadvantage. Within classes of advantage/disadvantage, racial/ethnic and gender inequalities are predominantly found in the most advantaged class, where Black boys and girls, and Latina girls, underperform White boys in academic assessments, but not in socioemotional outcomes. In these latter outcomes, Black boys and girls perform better than White boys. Latino boys show small differences as compared to White boys, mainly in science assessments. The contrasting outcomes between racial/ethnic and gender minorities in self-assessment and socioemotional outcomes, as compared to standardized assessments, highlight the detrimental effect that intersecting racial/ethnic and gender discrimination has in patterning academic outcomes that predict success in adult life.

Hostel Facilities

I have not opted hostel. But my friend was in the hostel. Hostel of the college is very comfortable and good for our feel like home there you get the most probable thing like good food good nightwear good facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

For undergraduates, college alumni can be a friendly introduction to the art of networking. In the end, networking comes down to building relationships, and you have something major in common: You both said “yes” to the same school. But you don’t need to wait until you're scouting the job market to reach out to a grad in your field of interest. College alumni have had their first entry-level jobs, their first promotions, and for the most part, are established on a career path (or can offer pointers on changing your career ). This means that you have the opportunity to benefit from the advice from an alum you admire (or whose career trajectory you envy.) about the college experiences that prepared them for success.

Admission

Choosing a college should be a reflection of who you are and what you hope to become. In a way, the real purpose of college should expand beyond receiving quality education but also growing as a person and a leader. Hence, the most important factors in choosing a college depend on your own interests, values, goals, beliefs, views, strengths, and weaknesses. I could list the usual suspects such as graduation rate, diversity, class size, reputation, professors, extracurricular activities, etc. However, what you might deem as a top priority someone else might not. Also, the tradeoffs among the different factors that each individual is willing to make may vary. Our advice is to construct a list of your goals, views, interests, values, etc. that are important to you, prioritize these factors, and check off which colleges harmonize with the highest numbers of these factors because each college will have tradeoffs. For example, Harvard is known for its innovative research, which may come at the cost of large class size and less access to certain professors. When you establish what is most important to your future, the right college will fit like a glove. You will have the feeling that this college is right for me.

Approximately a third of courses towards your degree fulfill RR College requirements. This includes classes in the areas of General Education, Distribution. you'll need expertise in your subject area in order to teach students. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical demonstrations, fieldwork, and e-learning. Multimedia technologies are becoming increasingly used. You'll also pursue your own research to contribute to the wider research activities of your department or institution. The aim is to have this published in books or scholarly articles, which can help raise your institution's profile. Administrative tasks take up a significant part of the working day. Many lecturers also take on a pastoral role with their students.
