It is a 8/10 college with good faculty and not so good infra.
Course Curriculum Overview
IT faculty is good. Some teachers are more than awesome and some ofcourse are as usual. Course is same as provided by IP nothing special. They conduct two internal exams. It would be enough for you to pass externals if you study good enough for your internals.
Placement Experience
Atleast 70% of the students got placement as far as I know. It could be more but not less. You would get placement either BPO or IT. Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, TCS are some good companies you can directly get into.
College Events
Fresher’s Party ofcourse, IT fest- it happens twice in my batch and awards/ certificates are given. Sports event- intra college sports event take place and good competitive spirit is there. Happens twice in my batch. Certificates were given to winners. Annual day- it happens once in my batch. Anugoonj (On main IP campus). Farewell is on banquet hall.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is reasonable ie. 80, 000 yearly. It is avg fees of any college in IP. They provide you with good quality education and extra curricular activities. AC facility. Sports room has pool table. Good and big library. Basically you will get good return for you fees while study and by getting good placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
No sort of scholarships are available here. You can contact administration for more info. As far as I know there is no sort of scholarship provided.
Campus Life
60:40 gender ratio is in campus probably to the best of my knowledge. A lot of extra curricular activities are there. So much that you will not be able to take part in all of them. Each semester there are around 2-3 active events going on either at college level or university level.
Hostel Facilities
I dont opt for hostel facilities. It is mear by North campus, kamla nagar and mukherjee nagar. So you can check there for hostel or pg. Average rent is around 3000 per month and food could cost 150 per day.
Alumni/Alumna
Nothing till now. They have a Facebook page and whatsapp group for alumni but no active partnership happens.
Admission
You need to give IP BCA enterance exam. Ranks would be declared. Mine was around 1300 to 1400. This college allow students till rank 4000 at my time (3 years ago). Your 12th marks should be above 50%. Rest all sorted to take admission in this college.
Faculty
Some of BCA faculty are awesome rest are good to go. Sports faculty is good. HODs are there for you to listen to your grievances. Lab assistants are helpful and friendly. Only issue with faculty is they don’t have specialised faculty for some subjects like Physics, IT.
