My college review

I don't have any bad remark for my college. But I must ask the officials to be a little humble. They always are so pretentious and bear a serious attitude. Sometimes they misbehave with the students.

Yes. Even in the honours courses for foreign language, there are some placements direct from our college. Datamark, amazon like companies come there to hire employees. For other courses, there are also placements available. As for engineering, there are some industrial placements. But for the student like simple honours courses in subjects like English, Bengali etc there is no such industrial grooming and neither direct placement. Although we get the opportunity of some diploma courses and special side degrees.

There are so many companies which visit our college for placement. For different courses, there are different companies available. But sometimes those match too. Big companies like data mark, amazon etc including some smaller companies come every year to our college for some fresh employees.

There are lots of events which take place in our college. They are just awesome and on a wholly another level. Cultural fests like Sangam, Sanskriti etc take place in our faculty. In other faculties, there are other events also. Sometimes big celebrities come to our institution to entertain us. Singers, actors nobody is left behind.

The fee structure is simple. You have to pay according to your course. For sc st students the fee is low. But for general students, the fee is a little high. For example, for the ba Hons course, an sc student has to pay near about 2200/- for admission. The fee receipt always has a clear explanation for the money that was taken. For paid seats, there are some additional charges added with the normal admission fee to secure the seat.

Actually, I don't know that much about this scheme. But being a central university my college should provide some kinda scholarship thing. More or less the financially distressed student may get some help from our college.

My college is a central university. So students from different countries come there to study. As a result, there is no lack of diversity among the students. Colours, language, behaviour in everything there is diversity. And campus life is very good. Ver ambient environment. The students are good. The number of boys is larger than the number of girls. There is strong support for sports. Every possible sport and extra curriculum activity is available there.

No. But there is a hostel available in our college. On the basis of your merit score from the admission test, you get the chance to opt hostel. But after the 1st semester if you score good enough you can try to get a hostel room.

Yes. They are helpful. Sometimes we get in contact with them. They share their experience with this college and teaches us how to be good at it. We always seek help from them in case of our events, organization, assignments etc. I think there is a renowned alumni list on the website of our college.

I liked the subject of English. So I decided to go for a bachelor degree. The admission process is easy. You have to attempt the entrance test. Then on the basis of your score, you will be called by the institution for Camping. If your score in the entrance exam is good then you will get the chance to select your favourite subject combination. Afterwards, you have to submit your documents when the institution confirms your admission through their website. That's it. You are done.

The lecturers are very good and their classes easy to understand. Usually, we get five lectures a day. That means we get more than enough information and teaching about our courses. Yes, sometimes the lectures do have some topics relevant to the industrial world. Some of the lecturers may be related or connected with the industrial world. But actually, we don't have that much information about them.
