It's mostly good as college is having really good infrastructure with very advanced labs. The classes are spacious. Lots of extra curricular activities held. Opportunities to go abroad. The management is somewhat strict, it is not much flexible. Teaching staffs are average qualified and knowledgeable but few staffs are exceptionally good.

Its fair, the exam consists questions equi weightage from all the 5 units. They focus mostly on asking theory based questions but they encourage you to research. They train you to build your profile meeting industrial standards. One can easily get a job if they focus on what is being taught. The competition is high though due to more number of students in a batch. They regularly conduct Industrial Visits and also national level hackathons. They encourage to participate in different competitive tournaments held by different colleges and companies.

The placement are really good for School of Computing branches but not so good for civil, mechanical, automobile and aeronautical. Almost 70-80 companies use to come in a placement season and almost 80% cse and electronics students use to get placed. Every semester there is dedicated classes for placement training and they call external tutors as well for placement training.

Lavaza is their Annual fest. Hackfest, hackathons, different competition they use to held regularly. Onam celebration Teacher's day celebration They do celebrate all south Indian festivals but they won't focus much on north Indian festivals. They follow Tamil Calendar for holidays and no holiday for Holi and one day holiday for Diwali. But they give a week off on Dussehra and 10 days off in Pongal.

The fee structure is average expensive but it is not much burden on students having good academic percentage in +2. The fee structure is quite transparent and each year they increase 20, 000? for next year batch. When I took admission, fee was 1, 35, 000 now it is 1, 95, 000 for normal cse course without specialization.

I opted for education loan of 4, 50, 000 from Allahabad Bank from my local place. There is a facility in college to get loan from their in campus situated bank that is Vijaya Bank. The scholarship is 100% for state toppers and for 90%+ students can avail 50% scholarship.

Gender ratio is almost 60:40 of boys and girls. 90% students are Telugu and 5-7% are Tamil others are North Indian. The working and teaching staff consists 85% Tamil and 15% in Telugu and Hindi. Hostel rooms are spacious and food is very good for both north Indian and south Indian. The teaching staff doesn't bias in boys and girls, they just treat everyone unbiased. Quality of teaching and living both are equally good. Teaching and working staff from far places get good accommodation. The function held in college mostly focus on Tamil entertainers. Lot of extra curricular activities use to held in college and NCC, NSS is also there.

No I didn't opted for hostel. I took a 2Bhk flat nearby to college campus which cost 7000. The market place is nearly 1. 5km that is Veltech junction. During rainy season, it is tough to live in pg as the area get flooded and regular power cut happens. But you will get your independence outside of hostel and good social life. The coaching centres are almost 6-7 km far but you can find household essentials easily in your locality.

Yes, they do lot of helps by referring jobs and helping on LinkedIn. If you get in contact in seniors they do help in lot of way and they help you get a decent job as well. If you want any referrals to their company, they are happy to refer you there and they are placed in different domains and part of the India so they help a lot in their respective fields.

I gave entrance exam in the second phase of VTUEEE-2016. I got AIR-1369 and got Computer Science Engineering branch as I had the passion for computer Science. I got placed in a company in my very 6th semester and did my major project in the company as well.

The faculties are average qualified. Basic qualifications of a lecturer is ME/M. Tech and doctoral degree is needed to be called as professor. The count ratio of faculty per student is 1:40 and the average age might be between 35-40. They are mostly able to clear course doubts but they don't give deep knowledge about the subject. They just teach theory and rest you have to do in labs or by your own. Sometimes few faculties go for industrial training and most of them do research and write in papers and journals of IEEE Society.
