Remarks

There is so much politics in the college. Whole management is divided into three groups.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The whole course of the college is divided into a semester system and there are two-semester in one academic year. The curriculum is a bit outdated around 20 years back my uncle studied in the same college with the same curriculum, there is no change. They just issue a degree, they don't care whether the study you studied is applicable in the present scenario or not. It's your problem you have to deal with it.

Placement Experience

0.5

This is not that type of college where companies visit and hire. This happens in technical colleges in India where companies hire. And there are no internships in this college. Students have fine jobs on their own. Most of the students give entrance exams to get a job.

College Events

1.5

There are few events celebrated every year, among most of them are cultural, where college invites reputed personalities of the city as chief guest. In these functions, every thing happens like prize distribution, cultural events, speech, dance and many more make the function aimless. The management facility of the college wants to finish all things in just one or two functions without caring about the importance of the specific goal.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I must say the fee structure is very very affordable. The mode of fee is both online as well as offline. The fee structure for most all the courses is the same ranging between 7k to 10k annually. There are additional charges but minor and they didn't give the fee breakdown, only 2 or 3 charges are mentioned.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't opt for any academic scholarship, but financial aid for being a NCC cadet. College provides financial aid to the topper of their batch, sportsperson, NCC cadets, etc.

Campus Life

2

The gender ratio is fairly good. But there is no cultural diversity because most of the students are regional and they follow the same religion. Most of the students came from a middle-class family and especially from rural areas and their parents are farmers. There is gender discrimination in this college, if you are a female then college faculty will see you as good in studies but if you are male they will judge you.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There is a combined hostel of around 40 rooms for school and college and the same for girls. Girls hostel is operational but from the past 10 -15 years hostel is not operational due to politics and the poor management of the college.

Alumni/Alumna

I must say, College seniors, are very helpful. They will help you out in any situation, but only in case related to outside studies.

Admission

I opted for this art course at this college because of the flexibility of the class timing. Admission usually starts in June - July. Only online mode is available to seek admission. First, apply online on the college website and pay the prospectus fee of around 300 then wait for the merit list. If clear cut off then go to college and starts your admission process in your desired course.

Faculty

3

Around 120 permanent and contract-based lecturers in total. The permanent lecturers are selected on the basis of set criteria but others are just on first come first serve. Lecturers are quite experienced and the average age is 45. All most all the permanent faculty is PhD and they are superior in their field. But as mentioned due to lack of infrastructure they are ineffective.

According to me this course if for whom who want to purse their carrier as professor or who want to be lecturer in the English subject . This course is good for only teaching line. To be honest there is much great competation in this course due to the limited seats for teachers. All over this course provide good knowledge for the aspirants and students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took English literature because I like reading novels. I think this curriculum helps us broaden our mindset and gives us different perspective or views on someone's actions or situations. Since we have dramas too it would be perfect if there were practical dramas performed sometimes. In one Sem we have one exam along with two internal tests. The exam starts from 10 till 1 pm. They are quite tough.

The specific reason that influenced me to choose this course is the course curriculum. There is a professional and communicational skills development through this course. Because of the NEP of the government there is a lot of positive changes in the course structure which makes it apt for the real world scenarios.
