Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This course is of 3 years, in which 2. 5 years of study and 6 months of internship is there. It includes fundamental and adavnced studies of computer science and different aspects where a student can pursue his/hrr career, however I do believe it should be more pratical than theoritical, so I say it is relevant but it should be research driven according to present rising of technology. Seminars and different other activities are being organised every year by the student administration for better knowledge of the tech industry, ojass is the technical fest being organised every year where every department of college organizes different amazing evebts to participate. If I talk about placements so yes I would this NIT do have amazing placements this year, lot of big tech giants comes to campus and also students grabs some great jobs, but partiality is there among MCA and btech people, btech wants them to be placed well they don't let us MCA people to grab good placement. But I think this happens everywhere even after that we people able to get good placements.

Placement Experience

4

Placement for our course is pretty much good this year. Some main tech giants are Nokia, Amazon, Amdocs, ola, zomato, UHG, Factset, Delivery, Oracle, Jugnoo, incture, trueminds, Cerner, Bobble AI. Tentative percentage is about 80-85%. Yes special steps are being taken like an year before teams for placement are selected from every other department, that team helps their department to grab good placements.

College Events

4

Ojass tech fest, Culfest cultural fest, Urja sports fest, InAR. Ojass and culfest are quite big students from different states comes and take part in different activities in the premises. Campus ambassadors are being to increase the public relations and increase the Acknowledgement about the events. PR team starts their work before 6 months to gather the people from around the city and around the states. InAR industry and alumini relations is a great thing to be a part of that is a thing that strengthen the current students in building up the strong relationships with the alumni.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its a six semester course, for gen/obc it's 77000/semester, and for sc/st it's 42000/semster. Online mode is accepted. For the first semester only bank draft is accepted during admission thereafter online mode is applicable for the rest of semsters. There is full transparency in the fee breakup. So all in all it's feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont know about the scholarship, but SBI branch is there in the college itself from ehich you can get loan and easily for the mentioned course with proper docs.

Campus Life

3.5

The whole campus of the college is quite big, and currently new building is on construction, comprises of about 3-4 grounds, several labs and about 12-13 hostels, as hostel is available to all that's a plus point. Gender ratio is about 10/40(g/b). There are so many extra curricular activities thoughout a acedemic year that a student that can participate in. Various socities and clubs includes Debating society, NSS, cultural societies, programming clubs, photography clubs, robotics club and much more. Theses clubs provides a great way in developing an individual personality also strengthen the interaction among different departments.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is cumpulsory for all the students. There are multiple hostels that changes every year but fees is same, there are three seaters and single seaters room. LAN facility is there, cleaning is done regularly. Mess food is so so sometimes good sometimes not.

Alumni/Alumna

The institute has a great alumini network, they are really helpful. Every year college organizes a Alumini meet in which alumni from different depts and different year gathers and share their experiences.

Admission

For getting admission into MCA, there are several NITs that take part and an exam held named NIMCET. This exam is of 1000 marks weightage having mathematics containing the maximum weightage with english, computers and apptitude. After the exam, choice filling is done for the candidates who scores well, based on choice filling and scores, admission is grabed into different NITs by the students. There are four rounds of admission process choice filling, seat lock, admission and last round is shuffle. Every year form filling is done in January February and exam happens in may last. Result is announced in june mid and then admission process from june mid to july mid, and then commencement of classes from August.

Faculty

3

Faculty is fair, I belive they should be more research driven more practical knowledge should be imparted to the students, as technology is all about how good you are practically, theoritical too but practical guy sounds lot better than the theoritical one.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I have some vision for carrying this out. Also, I have done BCA before this and the skills are not upto the mark, and my previous good college has not provided any campus selection boot. The current faculty are well educated and experienced. You will feel familiar with them. But some are strict too. Well, that's what a familar looks like. Exam difficulty is determined by the course/syllabus and the amount of preparation you put in. The bad thing is that sometimes the examination gets postponed for some reason, and that is not good for students.
