An Emerging IIIT

Well till now since I have spent one year some points are I want to mark is till now we do not have really a good ground for football but as our director has assured as till end of this year we will have one And for functioning the college administration is really very spontaneous in taking action and talking about our director He is truly a gem he always encourages the students in any way he could and he really encourages the sports a lot as he was also a table tennis player. So, concluding I just like my college a lot as every college has there limitations and to mark is I just love my hostel life.

I am a student in IIIT Ranchi and it is in a PPP(Public-Private-Partnership) which which it has 50% share of Central Government, 35% of State Government and 15% of private company / industry. So, most of ours curriculum is designed in such a way that it targets the demands of the industry in future. And in our college there has been many events organised for making students aware of the skills that the industry require and this year there was a Institute Industry Interaction organised on month of February 2020 where Industrialists from major companies like Deloitte, Walmart, Samsung came. And they shared their experiences and their wisdom and allowed the students to ask questions to them to get more familiar with the industries. And I think this is a great initiative to make students industry ready.

Well my college was started in 2016 and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the Parliament Act. And in this year 2020 our first batch will graduate and as we got to know all of the seniors are placed with very good packages around 12lacs and some are even placed in Oneplus. And about internships our senior has also been offered an internship in Bank of America. And talking of college efforts our college and our Training and Placement Cell is consistently working on interacting with the companies and helding webinar in this quarantine. And recently few days ago we had a webinar organised by Bitmapper which is a ECE oriented company and holds a lot of reputation.

Our college celebrates all the cultural festivals that come across the season and even organises event for Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat to showcase the diversity in very simplified and united way and our college was about to held our First Techno-Cultural Fest this year during march named TRI-QESTA which got cancelled because of pandemic hope this ends soon and waiting to get the amazement of our first fest held.

Yes, Our college provides transparency in fee- breakdown. Our fee-breakdown per semester is as follows Tution fee - Rs 90000/- Institute fee- Rs 10500/- Hostel fee - 15000/- Mess fee - 16000/- And the colleges accepts payment in any mode whether through cheque or online payment or Demand Draft. And there are no additional fees to be paid in order to get admission in college it is solely on merit based through JEE MAINS.

As till now there is no scholarship offered by our college maybe in future it will provide but it has a portal for state scholarships to apply details of which are shared after we get admission in college. And of me I opted for educational loan and the procedure was fairly we just have to get verified our documents and need to have a guarantor.

The gender ratio in the college is not fairly great in my batch we have 100boys and 14 girls but more to note is the culture is fairly diversed as we have students from all over the INDIA from Telangana, South India, Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Mumbai, West Bengal, Assam and many more and it is a pleasant experience to learn about others culture. And the sports in out college is really good as INTER IIIT COMPETITION which is organised every year in which all IIITs across India participate we secured a rank of SECOND RUNNER UP this year. And there are no cases of any discrimation on basis of religion caste gender race or what so ever everyone is just playful and lives harmoniously.

Yes I opted for hostel and the hostels are a 2BHK, 3BHK flats and to remark are pretty fairly clean and spacious and in a single flat about 4-5 students live in a 2BHK flat. And proper sanitization facilitites are being looked for everyday.

The college seniors in the college are really helpful you can even personally message whenever you are stuck at anything and they are always there to solve the problem they are just very helpful and talking about alumini network then as I mentioned that as our first batch will graduate this year so there is a lot of time for establishing a alumini network.

I got admission in this college through JEE MAINS after clearing the exam I went for JOSAA and CSAB counselling and from there I was alotted this college based on the merit and All India Rank. I opted for CSE only because I found computer programming really fascinating and wanted to know more about it. The JEE Mains exam usually takes place once in January and second time in April (twice a year since it is been taken over NTA) and the counselling process starts in July and carries on till August and I went to college for reporting and got admission on 03/08/2019 through CSAB Counselling.

The tentative number of lecturers in CSE course maybe around 5-7 and same in ECE and their average age may vary from 28-38 years and most of them hold a M. Tech or Phd degree in their areas of qualification and have research papers also published in many areas and they are highly skilled in their parts but as it is not a hidden fact that not all teachers are of equal level in teaching or more likely they don't match your way of learning so there can be exceptions based on students interest and for more info you can also visit to out college official website to know more about faculties.
