Devesh Verma's Review On MBM Engineering College - [MBM], Jodhpur

The best thing about college is that it is very reputed and is in the city which is crime free and people are very good in nature i already gave almost all good things about college but a bad thing is groupnism.

I clear RPET exam which was held in 2009 i got 309 rank in rajasthan and applied for mechanical engineering because it is my area of interest and I want to tell you all that MBM is very famous for its lab. The procedure is simple now as RPET is abolish and admissions will be based on single exam which is for IIT NITS just clear the exam and according to your rank you can get this college in counseling.

M.B.M. is the most popular college in Rajasthan having great faculty but classes are not regular in it. You will definitely learn many things from the lab and workshops but you will have to work hard on theroy portion. As there is lack of guidance in theory area because of lack of classes you have to work together. Some faculties are honest and so curious about teaching that if you didn't attend d the class there will be trouble in viva.

Some companies visit MBM for internship in 3rd year and you also have option to choose according to you. There is a viva in final year about your internship. Companies which select you for internship doesn't give any stipend to you nor accomdation facility. There are frequent classes which run about 60days during your vacation.

There are huge number of companies visiting M.B.M and also the packages are very good if you are a mining engineer then your placement is 200% sure @min 7lacs per annum package. Average placement for civil as there is few companies like Mhendra L&T ecc etc. For mechanical engineer there is again huge list of companies like Honda L&T powai NBC L&T construction JK tyres Appollo tyres UltraTech cement and many more. For computer and IT ,TCS Adobe frequently visit MBM. For electrical and electronics engineering companies list are limited.

There is a huge list of college festival and cultural events like EUREKA ENCARTA there is quiz events also like VizBij. Sports events like splash which is open to any other college. Eureka is the biggest event of this college and known all over India when I was in first year then ONGC gave the sponsorship.

First yera hostel is extremely good and also fees is low too the room is shared by 3students mess food is good and purely vegetarian. Mess is also neat and clean 2nd year and 3rd year hostel are good too mess food is average there but you will enjoy there too final year hostel is not so good nither mess. But internet speed is awesome in final year.Download speed is 2 3MB per second when I was in hostel my hostel fees is 8000in first year and 5000in rest 2nd 3rd and final year.

Scholarahip is also available through alumni scholarahip is giving on the basis of merit base, merit cum poority basis and various other category also. Very high discount give for ph category and 50%off for girls and tax payee there is no provision of loan from college side.

Campus is great and very big there is 2 big fields for sports green campus very pleasant to eyes. There are many groups of seniors organising different types of exams about technology. There is seminar hall where free debates are organise by giving some topic. Debate is not only on technical field but also in non technical field too. Since there is reservation for girls therefore there is good gender ratio.

Alumni is very great seniors are very helping and caring but ragging is also there but don't fear about ragging as it teach you many things and you will learn how to tackle wrost situations. There is silver jubilee and gold jubilee for 25years and 50years ago passed out seniors every year M.B.M receive great amount of fund through alumni.
