Remarks
Assam University, Silchar is a Central University which is located in Cachar district of Assam. Being a central university, it provides many facilities to the students like good professors academic classes research facilities for scholars etc. It has more than 40 departments. There is always good and bad things of a University, some of the bad points include late result declaration, fewer transport facilities, being late while providing fellowship to the PhD scholars etc. The admission process includes an entrance exam, viva and some percentage of marks from degree or HS. The dates for admission is generally open from July or August. It provides many facilities as it is a central university.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course because my course is present only in two government University all over the state and the course is what I have interest in. In our course, for 160 students 11 teachers are present. Teachers are highly qualified Ph. D. holders having sufficient teaching capacity. Though there is no digital class but yet they give their teaching effort to the best. Before every semester there are three internals to be conducted and the difficulty depends completely on the student preparation.
Internships Opportunities
Caplet Pharmaceuticals, Kolkata for a half month but with no stipend. A compulsory internship has to be done in the 6th semester and the project has to be made on the 7th semester.
Placement Experience
In our course, from 7th semester. Apollo Pharmacy, It provided 1,56,000 per annum package. Very less. My plan is to go for post-graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our department has the second-highest fees structure. I did not get any scholarship but there is a scholarship present which some students got called Ishan Uday Scholarship.
Campus Life
Auskriti is the annual fest and generally conducted in the month of March. Very good availability of books. Good amenities in the classroom. In has good sports and fair extracurricular activities. AUS forum, a Facebook page where all relevant information is found.
Interview Experience
The topics were completely related to the course applied. First, the student should have a minimum of 60% marks in HS, then the student has to give a written exam followed by personal interview. I just studied the topics related to the course and got many questions in common.
