Review of Marian college kuttikanam

Marian College Kuttikkanam autonomous is one of the tops and youngest autonomous college in India. It's infrastructure and curriculum activities happening in college makes students more vibrant and exciting. Faculties are more experienced in industry and academic with PhD and masters. The most exciting component is that the atmosphere the whole campus is been covered with fog and wind which make each student life to get a beautiful memory about the college. Marian college kuttikkanam is one of the colleges which is free to all marinate to show up their talent, they promote and support students skill and support them. To get admission in Marian college kuttikkanam is quite easy to compare to other colleges admission starts on May and June but there are some steps to complete.

Marian college kuttikkanam opens different courses. I am a marinate who chose the course BACE B.A Communicative English triple main where we have 3 main paper on the bases of English mass media journalism and Public Relation. In this college to this, they offer a special train in topmost companies and channels for students. As I chose this course that it has many opportunities for a job mostly in journalism. This course we have seat up to 40 and faculties there are totally 8 teachers 6 from the English department and 3 from the media department and also guest professors from top companies and channels who provide live theories. Faculties are more experienced and trained in their profession with doctorate and PhD. Classes are taken through activities and smart class and also with the help Marian studio. The course offers 4 to papers with job trading there 3 internals followed by sem end exam, it's not much difficult to pass compare to other courses every year we have 1 month job plus viva based it.

The internship is offered to all course from 2nd-year onwards. Each student has to select the companies or institution that they like to work Internship should one month completely. By choosing the company a letter from the college should be sent to the company for requesting for students for the 1-month training. As I am a journalist student I have an opportunity to work in The Hindu Newspaper as a reporter, in radio Club Fm as an assistant RJ and also in Malayala Manoram channel. Through Internship as a student, I am able to achieve a good result and also my teachers who helped me to achieve the task. After every we have to submit a report on bases of that we have to face viva.

Talking about placement cell we have one of the most high profile placement officer who is heading all Kerala placement cell, Mr Brijesh George. Marian is the hub of TCS. More than 80%of students are been placed every year. Once student's reach the final stage of the college they started giving special training to tackle the interview and aptitude test. By placement, they also provide a way for Internships. Infosys, Technopark, Wipro, govaninstitution, Teach for India, EY etc companies that visit campus. Each company offers 5 to 30 offers for students both UG and PG, all the placements are conducted by the college itself.

Affordable fees structure is at Marian college kuttikkanam. An average of 30000 for each course online and offline payment are available. Every 6 months we have to pay 1800_ 25000 it depends on courses with an additional university exam free. They also provide loans and scholarship for students. There was different scholarship provide we share is one of them and I got this scholarship, there also some scholarship on bases of categories too. College also provides many jobs with a stipend.

Marian College is open floor to every student to bring out their talent. Almost every day we have at least a single competition or program conducted by class or department. Caligo is one of the major fest conducted by our PG students it is an intra college mega fest for 4 days. Then followed by arts days where the winners of the art day is been selected to the kalolsavm, for the 1st time in the history of Marian in 2020 kalolsavm Marian college is became 2 portions for the participants. Then followed by college fest which biggest competition conducted by every U.G and P.G department. Highlight program of Marian college is Tug of War. Then followed by college day with the intro of Dance Battle and Mudduki completion in 2020 college day is been started with a mega dance by more than 500 students participate in it. Every year they conduct international basketball completion, we also have NSS NCC groups and also nature clubs, dance club, Marian band, filming studio, food lab.

Marian College we have 6 hostels both for men and women including teachers and other staffs. Main 4 hostels are inside the campus itself. We have Separate hostel for PG and UG. In each hostel, they can accommodate more than 400 students each room contains 5 students. We have all facilities inside the hostel, we can choose attached washrooms in the room or can choose common once. Each hostel there are at least 3 metres and 12 workers including cleaning and kitchen workers, they provide every week with a menu of food before starting that week. Foods that the services are much good when compare to other outside hostels. At the starting of every academic year, we have to pay hostel rent plus each month mess fee, which is affordable and also they provide conservation.

To complete an admission at Marian college there are so steps that should be cleared. They choose a different method for admission for different courses. As I opted for Journalism and English we have 3 criteria for an admission 1st one is GD group discussion where they give 10 topics from that we have to choose 1 group contains 8 members we itself have to say start introduction and ending up most of the topics they provide on the bases of the current issue and social problems. From there the select to next ground which is a test its mostly conducted by the H.O.D on the bases of basic English mostly grammar. Then the final step is an interview, where they ask informal questions more than formal. Here I just prepared only by reading a newspaper and refer news and some basic grammar. To complete this process is only need of knowledge about current and social issues.
