Entrance Preview
I appeared for AIEEE and ranked 12000. I showed my results to the college and they allowed me to take admission in the college. Moreover i appeared for COMEDK and secured 8432.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course for VTU has always been a different from other universities. It is a better way of learning with such a course. Apart from this the college faculties were quiet good enough to teach us the subjects well above the standards.
Internships Opportunities
I never came accross any companies that visited our college for hiring interns. Therefore i am not sure on the general stipend that they offered. Few of my friends had been into internships though, but they did not receive the offeres from the college.
Placement Experience
I passed out on 2013 and hence there were no much placements that year all over the country. But the other years had remarkable placements. Even companies like Microsoft visited our college to hire resources. Students need not to worry about getring placed from MVJ, since they have one of the best placements among all other colleges of bangalore.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not aware of the scholarship policy for the college. I have neither availed it nor do i have information about it.
Campus Life
Our college had almost equal gender ratios. There were lot of other extra curricular activities that we availed in the college. There was the college gym, tablw tennis, basketball, long tennis. Apart from these football, hockey, volleyball and khokho were regularly played.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was the regular VTU way. Exams were at good intervals. We always had the time to prepare well for the exams. Even semesters were at Dec/Jan and odd semesters were at May/June. Apart from the external semesters there were internal exams which used to be monthly once. The internal exams werw actually a good way to keep up the flow of preparation for the external exams.
Faculty
As a part of Information Science department i was proud to be a part of one of the best faculties of the college. All the subjects had their experts in the faculty department. Our HOD (now retired) was a PHD and she was so gentle. About the other departments i had knowledge on Mech and EC which had the best faculties too.
