The Cultural College

Our college management just aims at the academic side of the student but not the other side. It does not focus on fields other than the academic side which is one of the worst thing about our college. It does not encourage sports in the campus and many facilities aren't being provided.

I went through the counselling process that are conducted by Anna university of Tamil Nadu .I selected this college as it is one of the reputed colleges in Tamil Nadu.

The curriculum is a lot difficult compared to other engineering colleges as it is a part of the Anna university .I don't know much about the electives as aam currently in second year.

Many high level companies like Google, Microsoft and Code Nation and many more companies are offering internship. I don't know about the stipend that are offered for the internship as aam a second year student.

Many companies came for the placement cell namely Accenture,TCS,HCL, Google, Microsoft,CodeNation and many companies came for placements. 83% of the people were placed through the placement cell. The highest paid package is 14 lakh to a student by Google.

Our college conducts several events. Each department conducts an special event regarding their field. Mitafest,a cultural fest is one of the oldest cultural fests in Chennai.

As the college is run by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the fee structure is very less compared to other private organisations. The minimum college fee is 9000 rupees per semester for a regular course and 14000 rupees for a self supporting course.

No I haven't heard of any scholarships in my college except for some given by the government and some alumni.

Workshops are conducted during the events held by the college. There is no facility for sports. It is the worst campus for sports. Many other cultural activities such as Debates,Quiz, Dance etc are conducted regularly.

Since it is a Government run college the Hostels aren't of great level but also not of low level. It is an average hostel. The mess food is below average and it does not meet up the fees paid.

Ragging is still persisting in the college and the senior junior relationship is not upto the mark in our college. Alumni meeting will be conducted once on a year and each junior has a senior worth their respective number called the T series.

A total of three assessments are conducted in a semester which are included for the Internal marks and the final end semester exams are conducted for the external marks.
