Admission rewiew for Uttaranchal University

In 3 years the best part was faculty guidance & libraries. But, there's been a drawback in the extracurricular activities as the college has not been actively participating and focusing on the importance of the same as in other colleges. But, at the same time if u are getting enrolled there so admission processes are quite easy to go through. A minimum of 45 percent marks is required in 12th from any recognized board, some photographs, forms, etc. N I'll go through in one go. The reason being I selected this college personally is the recommendation of the best faculties here and the infrastructure, as well as facilities in the college, which are something to get easily pleased with. Moreover, safety is at its best, especially for girls in the college as well as Hostel. The college location is best like nearby markets and local people living there & to travel is nowhere scary or insecure. My source of selection for this college is through various websites and education fairs in Pragati Maidan, Delhi.

Being a science student, to enter a commerce field the best option is BBA. And the faculty at UIM( Uttaranchal Institute of Management) is the best to guide science students in the commerce field as they teach you from the very basic to advanced. The faculty-student ratio is quite good. There are enough management faculties for each specification, course, and year. Every faculty is at least a PhD holder in the college and their teaching methods are accordingly virtual and according to the requirements mostly teaching relates to practical examples and applications. Term exams include 2 internals in amid the semester and one external at the end of every semester. The difficulty levels are not so high for internals as they are only to get the children to understand the concepts thoroughly and anyone could go through them easily. Externals are the reality check for the student's knowledge.

Yes, placements are given but are not so worth it. BBA, Bcom, and MBA all are mostly sitting in the same placements and the highest package goes to max. 3-4 lakhs. And other placements go to a Maximum of 1-2 lakhs and that too mostly in sales i.e, marketing profile. HR and account profiles are not offered any internships for experience, nor many placements except 2 or 3. The college ties up's are not so good though the college this time on records managed to bring all over 100 placement companies for every final year student all over the college. Hence, it would be better for an individual to find a job or internship on their own.

Fee structure as compared to their colleges is not soo high in Uttaranchal University. For BBA, it's somewhere around rs.80,000 per year. you can get a scholarship if you are a localite i.e, a resident of Dehradun of Uttarakhand. Moreover, there are irrelevant fines and stuff like hikes in their monetary terms or revenues. At the end of the 3rd year, the placements given by the college though are not so satisfactory. Maximum placements are there for marketing people who too in the only sales department and zero internships are offered by the college in order to actually gain experience with the students. And very few placements or internships for finance and HR. They are more of a formality just to show numbers. It would be better if an individual seeks an opportunity on their own as there's much more other than these to explore.

Campus life is friendly but not so open and the administration is narrow-minded. The best thing is everything is under one roof like all colleges, cafeterias, ATMs, libraries, canteens hostels and hostels too. Each college is having their own personal library which includes extra books on every subject and matter which the college entertains and there's a central library which is for the whole University and from where book banks are issued. But, there is a shortage of good novels and some other genres which need to be considered especially for the past time of hostelers. The annual University fest held there is in the month of March or April. And other college fests are held 2-4 months before that. Every college participates in that either intra-college or inter-college. Other groups are there like sports clubs, dance and other clubs. But, eventually, they are not so active as they do not have proper existence or recognition and neither do they get much felicitated.

Hostel facilities are the best having proper water facilities and cleaning is majorly taken into account. Maids are there to clean your rooms except on Sundays, laundry facilities are also there and all these are included in the hostel fee. But, a little bit of time and outing restrictions like only 2 outings i.e, on Wednesdays and Sundays and that too with certain time limits are there, Other living facilities, infrastructure, and wardens are very nice. A proper 3-time meal is provided in the hostel with evening snacks. But on some days a meal is not very good to have. Breakfasts are always good to eat and at their best.
