My Engineering days

MPEC has a large margin to work in academics as well as in extracurricular activities. Also, they should hire good faculty which is the prime requirement. Need to stress on campus placement rather then concentrating on money making only.

UPTU Scored 60% Chose this college as it is present in my home town. Admission process was as per UPTU norms through the proper counselling as per the rankings of student after choosing the college, take admission by submitting fees and academic documents.

Course curriculum was as per UPTU norms. Exams were held in semesters in every six months. Each semester has basically 5 engineering exams though same has been changed these days.

Only few companies came like Satyam, indian army, cummins. Stipend offered was 2.4 lakh per annum. However, we have been sent to other colleges of different city for campus placement with our own facility which is again a hectic task because it includes lot of travelling and staying in hotels etc.

Not much of the companies came for campus placement.Only a few like Indian Army, Satyam, Lohia Starlinger, Cummins.Package offered by them was around 2.4 -3lac per annum.

Not much.only annual concert held once in 4 years. Bachelor party and freshers party were other major events. Apart from above mentioned events, a tech fest had been organized once named as "techkriti" Which invited other colleges of city ans state as well.

Very expensive as per the college standards. It increased progressively in 4 years. 1st year- 45000, 2nd year- 55000, 3rd year - 60000, 4th year - 65000. Apart from this examination fees was around rs 3000 each semester. Hostel fees was approximately 50000 including mess charges.

No, loan services were not offered by college.UPTU University offers scholarship for SC/ST candidates, but i am not in that category.thus i am not much aware about this part.

They were not of even mediocre level. Labs were not equipped with good instruments and devices. Campus was quite a big one spread in around 40 acres, however there was no scope of chilling out. Cafetria was of mediocre quality

Food was very bad in mess.There was major power cut issue in Hostel. Though rooms were spacious and good enough to accomodate 2 persons. Sanity in washrooms was not there.

No such network present. Only our batchmates are in touch with each other.we are also in touch with few of our seniors. We meet sometimes and discuss about the improvement in education system.

It is as per University norms exams used to held in every six months as per the course content of syllabus provided by University. Exams were held in a different examination centre ie in different engineering college with good level of transparency.

Faculty was not as per Engineering standards.Teachers were not experienced those who were experienced, were exploited by management and forced to work as per their terms and conditions. This is the major grey area of this college. Atleast post graduate faculty should be appointed to teach the students.
